Report: Alabama OC Steve Sarkisian expected to be named head coach at Texas

Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is expected to become the head coach at the University of Texas.

Alabama might be losing its offensive coordinator.

Per Chip Brown, Steve Sarkisian is expected to become the new head coach at the University of Texas, taking over for Tom Herman who was fired on Saturday.

Sarkisian has helped the Crimson Tide become an offensive juggernaut in the last two seasons, with Alabama scoring 49.7 points per game, good for second in the FBS.

As a head coach at Washington and USC, Sarkisian posted a record of 46-35.

In four seasons in Austin, Herman failed to live up to expectations, putting up a 32-18 record and 22-13 in the Big 12.
