Steelers at Colts picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 20, Colts 13

Moneyline

PASS.

The Steelers (-135) are on a roll, and Richardson and the Colts aren’t likely to keep up. Skip the moneyline—bet the spread for better value and less juice.

Against the spread

BET STEELERS -2 (-110).

The Steelers’ defense, anchored by DE T.J. Watt, has been absolutely suffocating, giving up just 8.7 points per game this season. Indianapolis, with an offense averaging under 20 points per game, will have a tough time keeping up—especially with Richardson struggling, having thrown 6 interceptions and losing 2 fumbles in just 3 games.

Pittsburgh’s run defense has also been impressive, allowing only 71 yards per game, which will limit the Colts’ best weapon in Taylor. With the Colts’ defense allowing over 20 points per game, this matchup heavily favors Pittsburgh, making the Steelers -2 an appealing bet.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 40 (-110).

Expect a defensive slugfest when the Steelers face the Colts. Pittsburgh may be 3-0, but their offense has been anything but explosive, relying heavily on their defense, which has allowed just 10, 10 and 6 points in those victories. Meanwhile, the Colts have been inconsistent on offense, and Richardson hasn’t exactly found his rhythm at quarterback.

With both offenses struggling to get going and solid defensive performances on both sides, this game is likely to be a low-scoring affair. The Under looks like a solid pick in this matchup.
