JuJu Smith-Schuster circled these 3 teams on the 2021 schedule

Smith-Schuster doesn’t discriminate; he looks forward to playing every team, but there are a few he’s noted as special.

During his whirlwind virtual media tour promoting Charmin’s BRB Bot, JuJu Smith-Schuster told Steelers Wire which teams he’s most looking forward to taking on this coming season.

Of course, Smith-Schuster doesn’t discriminate — he looks forward to playing every team, but there are some he’s circled as special.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Smith-Schuster is most eager for the Steelers to fly back to his hometown to play the Chargers, who are also in a new stadium. “My whole family is out there, so that’ll be really super exciting to go out there,” said JuJu.

Though their rivalry isn’t as intense as it once was, Smith-Schuster has family coming to Pittsburgh for the Steelers rumble versus a former Los Angeles team, the Las Vegas Raiders.

Smith-Schuster says that when he and his teammates talk schedule, they’re most excited to play teams in new stadiums. He’s never played in Minnesota before and, although U.S. Bank Stadium opened in 2016, it’s new to the Steelers. The last time the Steelers took on the Vikings, it was in Pittsburgh in 2017.

Steelers revised 2021 schedule as NFL approves 17-game season

In what has rumored to be true for nearly a year, the NFL officially approved a 17-game season starting in 2021.

A 17-game schedule, the move that has been rumored for months, was finally approved by NFL owners at a virtual league meeting on Tuesday. The season expansion will go into effect this coming season.

According to the league, the 17th game will feature “teams from opposing conferences that finished in the same place within their respective divisions at the end of the previous season.”

The revised schedule has the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Seattle Seahawks in the 17th game.

Preseason games will drop to three from the current four, and each team will continue to have one bye week.
