Spring training has concluded for Major League Baseball teams ahead of the 2024 season.

Former Vol Jordan Beck was named the recipient of the Abby Greer Award, presented to the Rockies’ spring training MVP.

Beck appeared in 18 games for Colorado during spring training. He recorded a .370 batting average, seven RBIs, four runs, 10 hits, two doubles, one triple, three walks and one stolen base.

Beck was selected by Colorado (No. 38 overall) in the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

He played for the Vols from 2020-22.

Beck recorded 18 home runs, 61 RBIs, 70 runs, 75 hits, 15 doubles, three triples, 37 walks and six stolen bases in 66 games during the 2022 season at Tennessee. The Vols won the 2022 SEC regular-season and tournament championships.

Former Vol Trey Lipscomb records three-hit game against the Cardinals.

St. Louis defeated Washington, 13-4, on Wednesday in spring training.

The contest took place at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Former Vol Trey Lipscomb started at second base for the Nationals and went 3-for-4. He recorded a two-run home run, four RBIs, one walk and seven total bases.

Lipscomb was selected by Washington in the third-round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft (No. 84 overall).

Lipscomb appeared in 66 games in his final season at Tennessee in 2022. He totaled 22 home runs, 84 RBIs, 68 runs, 89 hits, 19 doubles, three triples, 26 walks and four stolen bases.

Tennessee won the Southeastern Conference East division, the league regular-season and tournament championships in 2022.

Former Vol Nick Senzel hits three-run double against the Cardinals.

St. Louis defeated Washington, 7-6, on Friday in spring training.

The contest took place at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Former Vol Nick Senzel hit a three-run double for the Nationals. He went 1-for-1, recording three RBIs and two walks.

Senzel signed with the Nationals on Dec. 12, 2023.

The former Vol played for the Reds from 2019-23. He appeared in 377 games, recording a .239 batting average, 33 home runs, 125 RBIs, 104 walks and 32 stolen bases.

Senzel played for the Vols from 2014-16 and was an All-America standout and an All-Southeastern Conference performer. He was selected No. 2 overall by Cincinnati in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.

The Nationals will open play for the 2024 season on March 28 at Cincinnati. Washington’s home-opener is slated for April 1, 2024 versus Pittsburgh.

The contest between the Dodgers and Rockies took place at Camelback Ranch in Phoenix, Arizona.

Former Vol Jordan Beck served as a pinch hitter and played centerfield for Colorado. He went 1-for-2, recording a two-out RBI in the sixth inning, scoring Nolan Jones.

Beck received a non-roster invitation from Colorado to spring training.

He was selected by Colorado (No. 38 overall) in the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

Beck played for the Vols from 2020-22.

The contest between the Angeles and White Sox took place at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

Former Vol Garrett Crochet pitched two innings for Chicago. He recorded three strikeouts against seven batters. Crochet did not allow a hit, run or walk.

Sunday’s appearance was Crochet’s second in spring training. He pitched 1.2 innings, recording two strikeouts, while allowing two hits and zero runs against the Dodgers on Feb. 27.

Crochet was selected by the White Sox in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft (No. 11 overall).

He played for the Vols from 2018-20, appearing in 36 games. The former Vol was 10-9 and recorded 149 strikeouts during his career at Tennessee.

Lipscomb was selected by Washington in the third-round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft (No. 84 overall).

Senzel was selected by Cincinnati in the first-round of the 2016 MLB draft (No. 2 overall). He played for Tennessee from 2014-16.

The contest took place at Peoria Stadium in Peoria, Arizona.

Former Vol Ben Joyce pitched one inning for the Angles. He recorded one strikeout, while allowing two hits, two walks and one earned run.

Joyce was selected by the Angels in the third-round (No. 89 overall) of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

He played for the Vols from 2021-22. The former Vol did not play in 2021 due to rehabbing from offseason surgery.

Joyce (2-1) appeared in 27 games and started one contest in 2022 for Tennessee. He totaled 53 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched during the 2022 campaign.
