In a Group H battle Monday, South Korea (0 wins, 0 losses, 1 draw) will battle Ghana (0-1-0). Kickoff from Education City Stadium is set for 8 a.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the South Korea vs. Ghana odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

South Korea opened their World Cup up with a 0-0 draw with Uruguay. It was one of the calmer games as possession was split 57/43 in favor of Uruguay, and there was only 1 shot on target.

The most lethal and well-known South Korean player is F Son Heung-min, who plays club for Tottenham Hotspurs and is one of the most lethal strikers in the EPL.

Ghana lost their opener to Portugal, drawing the match at 1 with a 73rd-minute goal from M Andre Ayew. Ghana then conceded 2 goals in the next 3 minutes and struck late to see the final end 3-2.

Ghana had just 38% of the possession and ended with 3 shots on target. Ghana has many talented players in the EPL and Spanish leagues. They rank 61st in the world which compares to South Korea sitting 28th.

Prediction

Ghana 2, South Korea 1

Moneyline (ML)

LEAN GHANA (+205).

Ghana has talented players and looked like the more-competent offense in their opener.

They should also be able to bring some of that late-game scoring momentum into this game. F Inaki Williams was limited against Portugal, but the Athletic Bilbao striker should have an easier matchup.

They also have a combination of Arsenal M Thomas Partey and Ajax M Mohammed Kudus in the midfield, which should help them keep possession.

Similarly, South Korea didn’t get a shot on target against Uruguay, which isn’t quite at the level of Portugal. Outside of Heung-min, the talent drops off significantly.

Ghana is the deeper side, and I would play them to win outright for a partial unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN OVER 2.5 (+140).

Ghana found their rhythm late against Portugal. Ayew and F Jordan Ayew, who didn’t start against Portugal, should find success against South Korea.

That said, while South Korea didn’t get much going against Uruguay, they do still have Heung-min, who has 35 goals in 105 caps and is one of the best distributors in the tournament.

South Korea took on a tough Uruguay defense, which is captained by star veteran D Diego Godin. Ghana gave up 3 to Portugal and should be a flimsier defense.
