The Tigers, No. 6 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, will be awfully ornery after a 10-3 loss against Georgia in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clemson managed just two net yards of rushing, and they totaled just 180 yards of offense while allowing seven sacks.

Against the spread
CLEMSON -48.5 (-120) is going to take out a lot of frustration on poor South Carolina State +48.5 (-105) of the FCS.
The Tigers could get nothing going against a suffocating UGA defense last week. Look for the run game to get going for Clemson, and for QB D.J. Uiagalelei to get on track with some easy long touchdown plays.
The last time these teams met Sept. 17, 2016, Clemson pounded South Carolina State 59-0. Prior to that on Sept. 6, 2014, the Tigers won 73-3. In fact, that 2014 drumming came after a Clemson loss to Georgia to open the season.
The closest the Bulldogs have ever come in this series was a 39-point loss in 2013.
Over/Under
OVER 56.5 (-110) is the play, and Clemson has the opportunity to take care of business all on their own. After a loss last week, where the offense looked mighty anemic, there will be no calling off of the dogs this weekend. They are going to work things out in all facets of the game, and a 60-burger is easily attainable.
