Freshman phenom quarterback Conner Weigman got his first start at quarterback for the Aggies in their game against Ole Miss, as head coach Jimbo Fisher looks for something to jump start his offense.

The early results have been extremely positive, and the difference in the offense has been notable, as the Aggies marched down the field on their first two possessions, and Weigman threw two touchdown passes, one to Moose Muhammad and one to Evan Stewart, and of course, social media set ablaze.

The Aggies took a 14-10 lead into the half, and the future has rarely looked brighter for the A&M program.

The Aggies lost in a (rather sloppy) thriller Saturday night with, then, No. 1 Alabama hanging on by a score of 24-20 – the exact game the Aggies needed to pull-off their second consecutive upset of the Crimson Tide.

There were many moments in the game in which you thought Alabama could begin pulling away, but three Crimson Tide fumbles, an interception from quarterback Jalen Milroe, and two missed field goals (47 yards and 35 yards) kept the game within one possession the majority of the night. Credit to the Aggies’ defense and a gutsy performance by Haynes King to have shot to win on the final play of the game. On the final drive, with under two-minutes to play, the Aggies marched their way down the field to the Alabama 2-yard line – accomplished with great throws, even better catches, and Alabama penalties to keep the upset alive – but the final play call left many wondering if that was the call Jimbo should’ve made.

The Aggies offense has struggled mightily for the entire 2022 season to this point, and with almost 5 games in the books, it’s safe to say that this is who the offense is.

The Aggies have used two different quarterbacks, two centers, and rotated guards this season, but it hasn’t mattered, the have been completely unable to establish any consistent offense outside of the running of Devon Achane.

That continued on Sunday, in perhaps its most pronounced form on Saturday against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, as the Aggies exhibited ineptitude in all it’s forms.

Of course, twitter had plenty to say about the Aggies struggles.

Let’s journey our way through the best reactions.

It was won of the craziest plays you’ll see in any football game for a long time. Arkansas quarterback K.J. Jefferson, in the midst of a phenomenal first half, tried to make a play, extending the ball on a dive for the goal line, but it was A&M linebacker Chris Russel who made the play. Knocking the ball loose, and straight in to the arms of “Johnny on the spot” Tyreek Chappell.

The Aggies corner sprinted out on the return, and as he was wrapped up by a Razorback tackler had the presence of mind to hand the ball to teammate Demani Richardson, who took it the rest of the way for the 99-yard fumble return touchdown, to pull the Aggies to within a point.
