MSU football featured in 3-star DE Sherrod Henderson’s top three

MSU is locked up with a couple of ACC schools, looking to win the recruiting battle for 3-star DE Sherrod Henderson:

Michigan State hosted Sherrod Henderson on an official visit earlier this month. The 3-star defensive end from Rocky Point, North Carolina, has now cut his list of finalists down to three schools.

Of those finalists, Michigan State has made the cut, coming in alongside Duke and Virginia Tech to earn the commitment of the 6-foot-3, 210 pound edge product.

Henderson also announced that his official commitment date would be on June 30.

Blue Devils offer Class of 2025 edge rusher from North Carolina

Sherrod Henderson, a Class of 2025 edge rusher from Rocky Point, North Carolina, announced that the Blue Devils gave him on offer on Monday.

Class of 2025 edge rusher Sherrod Henderson, a North Carolina native, announced through social media on Monday that he received an offer from the Blue Devils.

Based on his post, Henderson seemed pretty impressed by the Duke program, too.

“WOW!” Henderson wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “After a great discussion with (Duke offensive coordinator Jonathan Brewer) I am truly BLESSED to recieve a D1 offer from Duke University.”

Henderson plays for Heide Trask Senior High School in Rocky Point, North Carolina. According to his 247Sports page, he stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds. He’s received offers from 19 other schools, including ACC foes like Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

The Blue Devils have nine commitments from the Class of 2024 thus far, led by four-star linebacker Cameron Smith and three-star edge rusher Sampson Onuoha.
