Sebastian Williams-Adams includes Auburn in top schools

Auburn is in the mix to land a top-10 forward from the 2025 recruiting cycle.

One of the top forwards from the 2025 recruiting cycle has trimmed his college list, and Auburn remains in the hunt.

[autotag]Sebastian Williams-Adams[/autotag], a four-star power forward from Houston, Texas, revealed his final four schools this week, including the Auburn Tigers. Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Vanderbilt join Auburn in Williams-Adams’ top-four. He plans to announce his decision in November according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Williams-Adams has visited every school on his top four list, including Auburn. He visited the Plains in September, staying through the weekend of Auburn football’s game vs. California on Sept. 7. While there, Williams-Adams told Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee that he enjoyed spending time with Auburn’s players and chatting with assistant coach [autotag]Corey Williams[/autotag] about his future. Auburn’s pace of play stands out to Williams-Adams’ as well.

“The coaches were really welcoming. The coaches’ energy (was my favorite part),” Williams-Adams said of his visit to Auburn in September. “I felt like we were on a whirlwind pace, but they stay happy. They stay energized. It was a real fun (visit) being here.”

Predictions appear to be hazy for Williams-Adams now. Before the release of his top four, Kansas was the favorite to land him. However, since the Jayhawks were left off of his top schools, the door is now open for a new program to take control of his recruitment.

Williams-Adams is a four-star power forward by all major recruiting outlets and ranks as high as No. 10 at his position within the 2025 recruiting cycle. According to 247Sports, Auburn has yet to receive a commitment for its 2025 haul and looks for Williams-Adams to be one of the first to join the class.

Auburn hosting a pair of four-star power forwards this weekend

2025 four-star power forward Sebastian Williams-Adams and 2026 four-star power forward Jalan Wingfield are scheduled to spend some time on the Plains

Auburn basketball is set to host a pair of top 50 recruiting targets this weekend, as 2025 four-star power forward [autotag]Sebastian Williams-Adams[/autotag] and 2026 four-star power forward [autotag]Jalan Wingfield[/autotag] are scheduled to spend some time on the Plains. The former, Houston, Texas native Sebastian Williams-Adams, will be in Auburn for an official visit while Wingfield’s visit is designated as unofficial.

A consensus top 40 recruit in the 2025 class, Williams-Adams is a 6-foot-8, 230 pound power forward who has visits scheduled to Kansas (Sept. 13), Purdue (Sept. 20), SMU (Sept. 27), and Oklahoma State (Oct.4) later this fall. He also spent time in College Station last weekend on an official visit to Texas A&M.

The high school senior led St. Johns High School in nearly every statistical category during their 26-7 season in 2023. His 21.1 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior make him one of the more intriguing inside threats heading into the 2025 recruiting cycle.

As for Jalan Wingfield, the 2026 four-star power forward has an extremely similar build to Williams-Adams despite being a year younger. The Atlanta, GA native stands at 6-foot-8, 225 pounds, and is a consensus top 50 recruit in the 2026 class. While he is yet to take an official visit, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Cincinnati, Florida State, and Georgia Tech have all offered the star high school forward a scholarship.

We’ll see if [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] and the Auburn coaching staff can convince either prospective Tiger to lean towards committing this weekend. A good showing from Hugh Freeze, Payton Thorne, and the Auburn student section could help out the basketball coaching staff as well.

Auburn makes cut in 2025 F Sebastian Williams-Adams’ top schools list

Auburn is battling several of the nation’s top programs for the No. 8 power forward from the 2025 cycle.

One of the nation’s top power forwards from the 2025 class is considering several of the nation’s top programs, including the Auburn Tigers.

[autotag]Sebastian Williams-Adams[/autotag], a four-star forward from Houston, Texas, has dropped his top eight schools. Auburn remains in the hunt to land him, as does Purdue, Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.

Williams-Adams will kick off his official visit tour later this month and plans to visit six of his top eight choices. He will take his first official visit on Aug. 30 to Texas A&M and will conclude his stops on Oct. 4 at Oklahoma State. Auburn will host Williams-Adams on Sept. 6 for his second official fall visit.

On3’s Joe Tipton says that Williams-Adams will be a productive member of whichever program he chooses.

Standing in the 6-7 range, the forward is a downhill type with good touch around the rim. He can attack from various areas on the floor and absorbs contact getting to the free throw line. Would like to see Williams Adams continue working on the shooting, tightening things up from beyond the arc and adding to his middle game. He is an active defender, using his length and anticipation to guard more perimeter-based forwards and then his length and aggression to switch down a line up for more paint-based forwards. He is an active rebounder in and out of his area. A player who keeps the motor running and continues coming at you, on both ends, throughout the course of a game.

Each recruiting outlet rates Williams-Adams as a four-star power forward. He ranks as high as No. 8 in his position and No. 3 among Texas products from the 2025 class.
