Sean Rhyan Final Evaluation

UCLA’s Sean Rhyan uses high football intelligence and a quality punch to his advantage as Tyler Browning (@DiabeticTyler) dives into his film to project the OTs draft range.

With an aging Tyron Smith, and inconsistent play riddled among the rest of the unit, many are calling for the Dallas Cowboys to reinvest in what was once arguably the most dominant unit in the entire NFL.

UCLA offensive tackle Sean Rhyan has been a starter since he enrolled in 2019, so there is no questioning his experience. He helped lead the way for running back Joshua Kelley in 2019 and was a part of an offensive line that put together a streak of five consecutive 200-yard rushing games, this was the first time it happened since 1978. He is fairly decorated with accolades, including the USA Today, The Athletic, PFF and FWAA Freshman All-American teams.  In 2021 he was named to the All-Pac-12 team, selected by the league’s coaches and Phil Steele. What kind of draft capital would it take to get Rhyan on the Cowboys? Let’s dive into the film and find out.

ESPN two-round mock draft gives Cowboys help on both sides of ball

Mock draft season is in full swing, and the latest one from ESPN’s @Jordan_Reid gives the Cowboys a Georgia defender, as well as offensive line help. | From @AsaHenry_55

With the Super Bowl just around the corner, most NFL fanbases have already turned their attention to one of the biggest football-related events of the year, the NFL draft.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper has been covering the draft for decades now, and in his first mock draft of the year the Cowboys selected Georgia defensive end, Travon Walker. Kiper’s colleague Jordan Reid released his two-round mock draft this week, and it starts out similarly to Kiper’s, with Dallas landing a front seven defender from the 2021 National Champions. Reid chose to give the Cowboys help at linebacker in the form of Georgia’s Nakobe Dean. In Reid’s mock, Dallas follows up that pick with UCLA offensive lineman Sean Rhyan, filling another need for the Cowboys.
