The Seahawks (2-5) aren’t doing much right. After losing three straight and five of their last six, they head into Week 8 in the cellar of the division standings and are currently only one spot up from the bottom of the pile in the NFC.
This is unfamiliar territory for this team, but the best medicine when you’re struggling is facing an opponent that’s even worse than you. Fortunately for Seattle, they’re finally getting some mediocre competition this week. On Sunday they visit Jacksonville to take on the 1-5 Jaguars. According to the latest odds at Tipico Sportsbook, the Seahawks are favored by 3.5 points.
Jacksonville is coming off a bye week after earning its first victory of the season against the 1-6 Dolphins. The Jags finally have a centerpiece to build around in No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence but the rest of the picture will take a while to put together. The team ranks No. 29 in overall DVOA.
If the Seahawks can’t take care of business against these Jaguars, it may be time to blow the whole thing up.
