Kentucky baseball lands Radford pitching transfer Scott Rouse

Radord pitcher Scott Rouse will transfer to Kentucky baseball for 2025.

The Kentucky baseball team has just wrapped up a fantastic regular season, and is preparing for the postseason. They won a share of the SEC regular season title and have high hopes for what comes next. In the meantime, though, other things are happening around the program.

The transfer portal is mostly mentioned when discussing the basketball and football teams at Kentucky, but the baseball team landed a transfer on Sunday in the form of former Radford Highlanders pitcher Scott Rouse, who announced his decision on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Rouse played his first two seasons of college baseball at Ohio Dominican before transferring to Radford. He suffered an injury in 2023 that cut his season short, and battled his way back. In 2024, he started 14 games, and posted a 4 – 5 record with a 5.94 ERA. He struck out 78 batters in 69.2 innings pitched.

The right-hander will now come to Lexington hoping to further his career and solidify the Wildcats pitching staff for next season. Adding another talented arm is a good thing, and maybe helps them to have as successful a season in 2025 as they’ve had in 2024.
