The Kansas City Chiefs have played outstanding football through the first nine weeks of their 2023 campaign, and hold the fifth-highest score differential in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

This simple stat is a great way to contextualize a team’s dominance over a given set of games, and while Kansas City may not be the top team in the league by this particular metric, the Chiefs could rise to the No. 1 spot by season’s end if their offense gets into gear.
To this point, Kansas City’s defense has led the way. The unit has been one of the NFL’s best in 2023, and with just eight games remaining on their schedule, the Chiefs just have to get their offense figured out to ascend to true championship form ahead of the playoffs.
Expect Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Matt Nagy to do some soul-searching ahead of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LVII rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.
