Marvel Studios’ new ‘Black Widow’ trailer is going back to where it all started

The new ‘Black Widow’ trailer is giving us some major ‘Avengers’ vibes!

Marvel Studios has certainly tested our patience with the arrival of the anticipated Black Widow movie. We’ve waited and gotten our hopes up for the arrival of Natasha Romanoff’s backstory, which was originally supposed to be released in May 2020.

But it’s more than the one-year delay in the release ,as it is the extended wait to finally get this Black Widow movie after a slew of Marvel movies.

Now, following nearly a year in delays due to COVID-19, it sounds like we have a definitive release date for Black Widow, which will hit theaters and Disney+ on July 9.

That was made apparent when Marvel Studios dropped a new trailer for Black Widow, which had some major Avengers vibes — from the flashbacks with her and the Avengers to the actual score used in this trailer.

The trailer starts off with a voiceover from Natasha — as flashbacks to previous movies play — where she alludes to some unfinished business and secrets from her past.

“You don’t know everything about me, I’ve lived a lot of lives,” she says. “Before I was an Avenger. Before I got this family. I made mistakes choosing between what the world wants you to be, and who you are.”

The film takes place after Captain America: Civil War, where we find Natasha on the run from the government as she deals with her history as a spy, as well as her broken relationships before she became an Avenger.

And, safe to say, this is going be another blockbuster hit from Marvel Studios.

Twitter had plenty to say about the new trailer, including people losing it over the Avengers score playing at the end.

Black Widow will be released both in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on July 9.
