Kentucky Mr Football walks on 2024 Roster after leaving Air Force

Two-way player Sage Dawson will walk on for Kentucky football after leaving Air Force.

Per Nick Roush of Kentucky Sports Radio, the Kentucky Wildcats football team has added former Air Force signee Sage Dawson to the roster as a walk-on.

Dawson was set to play both football and baseball for Air Force in Colorado Springs (CO) for his collegiate career, but is now heading back to his home state of Kentucky instead after a change of heart.

The former two star recruit is originally from Boyle County (KY). He was ranked as the number 20 player from Kentucky in his class by 247sports. A two-way star, he played cornerback and quarterback in 2023. Dawson threw for 2,509 yards and 29 touchdowns and ran for 385 yards and four scores on the ground.

On the defensive side, he added 18 solo tackles and 24 total tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss.

The Kentucky Wildcats walk-on also had offers from Army, The Citadel and Eastern Kentucky.
