Check out the full weigh-in results for Wednesday’s 2023 PFL Playoffs 3 event in New York.

The 2023 PFL Playoffs 3 card stayed intact after Tuesday’s official weigh-ins, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any hiccups.

PFL returned to Atlanta this past Thursday for the third of three shows in three consecutive weeks at Overtime Elite Arena.

2023 PFL 6 featured final regular season bouts at lightweight and welterweight, as well as three showcase fights. In the main event, 2022 PFL lightweight champion [autotag]Olivier Aubin-Mercier[/autotag] knocked out Dana White’s Contender Series alum [autotag]Anthony Romero[/autotag].

Other names on the card included former UFC fighters [autotag]Shane Burgos[/autotag] and [autotag]Clay Collard[/autotag], as well as past PFL championship winners [autotag]Raush Manfio[/autotag], [autotag]Natan Schulte[/autotag], [autotag]Sadibou Sy[/autotag] and [autotag]Magomed Magomedkerimov[/autotag].

Five fighters topped the list at $100,000, while all other fighters received five-figure or four-figure payouts. Among them was Burgos, who left the UFC as a free agent to sign with the PFL. Friday, Burgos pocketed a six-figure flat purse against [autotag]Yamato Nishikawa[/autotag].

2023 PFL 6 video: Sadibou Sy wheel kicks Shane Mitchell for insane walkoff knockout

Sadibou Sy already secured his spot in the 2023 PFL playoffs, but added another highlight to his reel for good measure.

[autotag]Sadibou Sy[/autotag] said he wanted a viral knockout in the final regular season bout of the year, and he may have accomplished his goal.

At 2023 PFL 6 at Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Sy (15-6-2), the 2022 welterweight season winner, took on Shane Mitchell (13-6) in the co-main event. A majority of the bout was spent in striking exchanges on the feet, until Sy landed a beautiful wheel kick at 1:35 of the third round.

The fight started out competitive, with both fighters landing well on the feet. However, Sy was more accurate and offered a higher volume, including a lightning-quick wheel kick that would have ended Mitchell’s night had it connected.

In the third round, Sy was well ahead in the fight and a had a playoff spot already clinched, but he still hunted for that highlight moment. He went for the wheel kick again and this time he connected, sending Mitchell crashing to the canvas for the walkoff finish.

Check out video of the finish below (via Twitter):

Sy finished both of his 2023 regular season bouts. At 2023 PFL 3, he stopped Jarrah Al-Silawi with knees and punches in the second round. On Friday, his playoff spot was secure with any win, draw, or even a loss after the second round. However, he opted to go for the highlight moment and it paid off immensely.

Sy will face Carlos Leal in the first round of the welterweight playoffs. The other side of the bracket will see Magomed Magomedkerimov take on Magomed Umalatov.

PFL 2023, Week 3 takes place Friday at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas. The main card airs on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

(Click here to open a PDF of the staff picks grid in a separate window.)

[lawrence-related id=2633204,2632785]

In the main event, 2022 welterweight season winner [autotag]Sadibou Sy[/autotag] (13-6-2) takes on former Brave CF champion [autotag]Jarrah Al-Silawi[/autotag] (18-4). Sy is nearly a 2-1 favorite at the betting window, and our 11 editors, writers, radio hosts and videographers have him as a near-unanimous pick at 10-1.

In the co-feature, [autotag]Magomed Magomedkerimov[/autotag] (30-6) is by far the biggest favorite on the card at more than 12-1 in his welterweight bout against [autotag]Ben Egli[/autotag] (14-4). Not surprisingly, Magomedkerimov is one of two unanimous picks on the main card.

Also on the main card, two-time (2018, 2019) lightweight season winner [autotag]Natan Schulte[/autotag] (23-5-1) is back to take on [autotag]Stevie Ray[/autotag] (25-11). Schulte is a 4-1 betting favorite, but Ray has a pocket of support that leaves Schulte with just a 7-4 picks lead.

[autotag]Raush Manfio[/autotag] (16-4), the 2021 lightweight winner, takes on [autotag]Alexander Martinez[/autotag] (10-3) to open his 2023 regular season. Even though Martinez is the slight -150 favorite at the betting window, Manfio is our staff members’ other unanimous pick a 11-0.

[autotag]Shane Mitchell[/autotag] (13-4) takes on the unbeaten [autotag]Nayib Lopez[/autotag] (15-0) at welterweight. Lopez is a -250 favorite and is a near-unanimous pick at 10-1. And -150 lightweight favorite Bruno Miranda (14-3) is a 10-1 pick over Ahmed Amir (12-3-1).

To open the main card, [autotag]Brandon Jenkins[/autotag] (16-9) is a slight favorite at welterweight against [autotag]Zach Juusola[/autotag] (13-9), and he’s got a big 10-1 picks lead.

In the MMA Junkie consensus picks, Sy (69 percent), Magomedkerimov (95 percent), Schulte (72 percent), Manfio (88 percent), Lopez (72 percent), Miranda (76 percent) and Jenkins (82 percent) are the choices.

PFL champ Sadibou Sy aims to ‘put on a show’ against Jarrah Al-Silawi at 2023 PFL 3

Sadibou Sy’s journey to two-straight PFL championships begins at 2023 PFL 3 against Jarrah Al-Silawi.

LAS VEGAS – 2022 PFL welterweight champion [autotag]Sadibou Sy[/autotag] is ready to pick up right where he left off.

Four straight victories in 2022 led Sy (13-6-2 MMA, 7-4-2 PFL) to the championship and a $1 million prize, and he’s ready to do it all over again. His 2023 campaign starts off in a main event showdown against Jarrah Al-Silawi (18-4 MMA, 2-1 PFL) at 2023 PFL 3 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.

Last season, he began the year coming off a loss. This time, he starts as the champion, so has that caused any mental shift or change in preparation this time around?

“Both yes and no,” Sy told reporters at Wednesday’s media day. “It’s hard to be – because I truly feel like I know what it takes. I know the path to victory, so having that gives me a sense of security.  I know last season what I did in the preparation for each fight to be able to find the right regimen for my body, for my mind to be there.

“So, going through all of that, feeling what makes me feel great standing here in front of you guys. So, with that, I would say yes, but at the same time, a fight is a fight. So, I always expect the unexpected. I expect him to come out and give his all.”

[lawrence-related id=2632861,2632785]

Al-Silawi will be looking to erase the memory of the ending to his 2022 campaign. At 2022 PFL 6, Al-Silawi was finished in the first round by Magomed Umalatov, snapping a five-fight winning streak. Sy, however, is here to make sure that he doesn’t have a successful rebound, and believes he will be able to take care of business with ease.

“I believe I can go out and dominate this guy. Stylistically, I believe that his style and my style – I wouldn’t say, I believe there’s other fighters in the bracket that would make for a more exciting fight, but with that being said, I like this matchup because I’m going to be able to put on a show for you guys.”
