Kings at Grizzlies picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 116, Kings 115

Moneyline

PASS.

The Grizzlies (-180) should win at home, but their ML is too expensive considering Memphis is on a back-to-back and the Kings have pulled off 2 consecutive last-minute wins. Bet the spread or total instead.

Against the spread

BET KINGS +4.5 (-110).

According to reports, Memphis’ 2nd-leading scorer G Desmond Bane may not play Sunday. No Bane combined with Sacramento’s improved play in its last 2 games would create a tough situation for Memphis to win by margin. Sacramento did not cover as a favorite in its last 2 games, but did pull out late wins and enters this game as an underdog. Take the points.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 238.5 (-110).

The Under is 6-1 in the Grizzlies’ last 7 games and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these 2 teams in Memphis. The Over is 2-0 in the Kings’ last 2 games, but Sacramento should have a tougher time scoring vs. the Grizzlies who are 3rd in defensive efficiency over the last 3 games.

Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (10-7) welcome the Sacramento Kings (9-6) to the FedEx Forum Tuesday with tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Kings vs. Grizzlies odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Grizzlies lost 127-115 to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, failing to cover as 7.5-point underdogs. Despite scoring 29 or more in 3 quarters, it was Memphis’ defense that struggled the most.

Memphis will more than likely be without its 2 best scorers again Tuesday. It is just 1-3 ATS in its last 4 games, covering the lone time it was a favorite over that stretch.

Sacramento scored 30 or more points in every quarter as it beat Detroit 137-129 on Saturday, but failed to cover as 10.5-point home favorites. The Kings have covered 6 of their last 7.

The Kings have scored 120 or more in 6 straight games as well, and they are led by G De’Aaron Fox, who is averaging 25.4 points and 6.4 assists per game, both team-high averages.

Kings at Grizzlies picks and predictions

Prediction

Kings 120, Grizzlies 115

Moneyline

PASS.

The Kings are playing at a high level and are rightful favorites. Considering the players expected to miss the game for Memphis, backing it even at plus money isn’t smart.

Against the spread

BET KINGS -2.5 (-105).

Without their 2 leading scorers, the Grizzlies do not have the firepower to score with ease as they do when Morant and Bane take the court. That’s been 1 reason they have covered just 1 of their last 4.

The Kings are patient and rank in the top 10 in turnover rate. They also sit No. 1 in effective field goal percentage which will be key against a Grizzlies defense still getting F Jaren Jackson Jr. up to speed.

The Kings have the best offensive rating in the NBA, and the Grizzlies rank 22nd in defensive rating. Expect the Kings to be able to run the score up with Memphis struggling without its stars.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 233.5 (-110).

The Kings rank 7th in pace, and the Grizzlies sit 15th in pace.

Both teams, even with Morant out, should want to play at a quick tempo. Given Sacramento’s strength offensively and the fact that it has gone Over in 5 of its last 6, the Over 233.5 (-110) is a strong play.

Both teams rank top ten in turnover rate, so it should be a game in which shots get up on the offensive end as well. Memphis has gone over in its last 2 straight.

Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Sacramento Kings (31-39) play the second game of a back-to-back at FedExForum with the Memphis Grizzlies (37-33) Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Kings-Grizzlies odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Kings were making the playoff race interesting, winning seven of their last 10 games and going 7-3 against the spread but their hopes ended Thursday with a 116-110 loss to the Grizzlies as 8.5-point road underdogs.

Memphis is locked into the play-in tournament. They’re the 9-seed and can still overtake the eighth-place Golden State Warriors, which would give the Grizzlies two chances to clinch a playoff berth.

The Grizzlies won five of their previous six games but went just 3-3 ATS in those contests. Memphis is going for the season sweep after winning the first two meetings.

Kings at Grizzlies: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Grizzlies 116, Kings 112

Money line (ML)

Neither team seems motivated for this game but because of Memphis’ injury issues throughout the season, its backups have more continuity and are even used to starting games.

Both are going to be without significant contributors and the Grizzlies are resting up for the play-in tournament, but this intel is already baked into the line and bookmakers still give Memphis the edge.

Slight “LEAN” to the GRIZZLIES (-160) for a quarter unit because who knows how either team is going to play Friday.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS because I’m just going to use my Kings-Grizzlies budget on the money line rather than fuss with the points.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the OVER 224.5 (-110) for a half unit because both teams play at a top-10 pace and Sacramento has the worst defensive rating in the Association so even Memphis’ backups can get buckets.

Also, this is a “fade” of the market that’s just blindly hammering the Under given all the missing firepower between both teams.

That play makes sense but my instinct is to “fade” a market that has 92% of the money on the Under, according to Pregame.com.
