One of the many things coming back as we slowly emerge from the grasp COVID-19 has had on us is weddings. Yours truly finally will have his in four months after being postponed by a year. One person who already has tied the knot is former Notre Dame forward Jack Cooley, who did so Saturday. We only know this because he and his friends documented the day on Twitter.
Cooley was feeling good the moment the day started, attributing that feeling to a good hair day:
Of course on the day of my wedding my hair decided to….

By the wee hours of the morning, Cooley was confirming what every groom should feel at the end of his wedding day:
Best. Day. Ever.

Based on this video that was taken at the wedding, it’s hard to disagree with Cooley’s sentiment:
This is the best video from tonight. I love you bro thank you for inviting me @JackCooligan45. Notre Dame and Warzone brought us together 💙💛

Yes, there was plenty of Notre Dame representation at the wedding as evidenced by this tweet from Joey Brooks, a three-year teammate of Cooley’s in South Bend:
Here to confirm the rumors… the @NDmbb brand is as brolic as ever!
Love being a part of the Notre Dame brotherhood 🍀❤️

Cooley also had at least one teammate from the Ryukyu Golden Knights, the Japanese team he currently plays for, in attendance. This tweet talks about Saint Louis product and fellow Chicago area native Dwayne Evans:

However, the day after didn’t begin so well. It appears a Chicago Cubs outing was going to wrap up the weekend, but Mother Nature had other ideas:
Good thing I didn’t book a rooftop for THIRTY FIVE people. 🤦🏼♂️ https://t.co/0BMyPzm0mZ

Regardless of how it was supposed to end, it appears the weekend was a great one, and that’s all he could have asked for.
