Georgia TE suffers knee injury, will miss rest of spring practice

Georgia loses another tight end…

Georgia football’s tight end room just got even thinner as multiple reports have confirmed that junior Ryland Goede will miss the rest of spring training with a knee injury suffered in practice.

Starting tight ends Darnell Washington (lower body) and Brock Bowers (shoulder) are already out of spring football with their own injuries.

This leaves the Bulldogs with just three scholarship players at the position– Arik Gilbert, Brett Seither, and early enrollee Oscar Delp.

While Washington, Bowers and Goede have ample time to get healthy, this still throws a wrench in the Dawgs’ spring training. Pass catchers need to be on the same page with the quarterback in terms of timing and rhythm.

Still, with the trio out, it provides a big opportunity for Gilbert, Seither and Delp to take meaningful reps both at practice and at Georgia’s annual G-Day spring game that will be held in Sanford stadium on April 16.
