LSU offers 2025 running back from the Boot

The Tigers offered a physical runner in D’Shaun Ford from Opelousas, Louisiana.

[autotag]D’Shaun Ford[/autotag] is a 2025 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back from Opelousas, Louisiana, where he plays for Opelousas High School. The Opelousas Tigers finished their 2022 season 10-3 after suffering a heartbreaking 35-34 loss to Lakeshore in the second round of the LHSAA Division II Non-Select playoffs.

Film Analysis: Ford burst onto the scene last year as a Freshman when he broke the school record for most rushing yards in a single game. Ford is an old-school type of running back in the sense that he is trying to get north and south and pulverize you with his physical brand of football. The way he runs the ball sets the tone.

Watch: LSU commit Trey Holly scores on a long touchdown run in the state championship

Good luck catching Holly.

[autotag]Trey Holly[/autotag] played in his third state championship in a row for the Union Parish Farmers, and for the third year in a row, the Farmers came up short.

Union fell to the Many Tigers 35-13 in the Division III non-select championship game. Holly had a great game as he rushed for over 100 yards (including this 63-yard touchdown in the first quarter to tie the game 7-7.)

Holly committed to playing in LSU back in May and is one of the 23 players in the 2023 recruiting class. As early signing day nears, [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the Tigers coaches hope that he will stand firm on his commitment and come to the Bayou. Coach Kelly and the Tigers are preparing to play against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Citrus Bowl on January 2nd.

The recruiting class currently ranks as No. 7 overall after LSU lost two four-star defensive linemen last week. We will see how it all plays out.
