Tatum, a four-star defensive end out of Oklahoma City (Putnam City High School), signed with the Sooners out of high school. Tatum was the 15th best ranked defensive end in the country and the sixth-best ranked player in the state of Oklahoma in a loaded 2018 class. After redshirting his freshman season in 2018, Tatum left the Sooners for North Eastern Oklahoma Junior College in Miami, Oklahoma.
UTSA has a 41-55 record in their eight seasons in FBS-Division I. Despite four 6+ win seasons, the Roadrunners have only been to one bowl game, losing the New Mexico Bowl following the 2016 season.
Following a 4-8 season in 2019, the Roadrunners enter their ninth FBS season looking to improve and make their second-ever bowl game.
UTSA will have a tough task ahead of them as they open the 2020 season against the same team that Oklahoma ended their 2019 season. The Roadrunners head to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers on September 5.
