Nic Claxton, Rodions Kurucs recalled by Nets

Nic Claxton injured his hamstring on Monday while with the Long Island Nets. He can now receive the necessary treatment in Brooklyn.

The Nets sent both Nic Claxton and Rodions Kurucs to Long Island on Monday to play for Brooklyn’s G League team against Raptors 905. The Long Island Nets wound up losing 106-95 and are now last in the G League’s Eastern Conference with a 2-10 record.

While Rodions Kurucs had a solid showing (14 points on 6-for-7 shooting and five rebounds), things didn’t go as well for Nic Claxton.

Not because the rookie played poorly. He just wasn’t able to see the floor much because he suffered a hamstring injury.

On Monday, Brooklyn announced both Claxton and Kurucs had been recalled from their assignment with Long Island.

Long Island gets back to work on Wednesday at 11 a.m. as the Nets play host to the Westchester Knicks.

Brooklyn gets back to work a few hours after Long Island and welcome the Charlotte Hornets to Barclays Center for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
