A former Spartan quarterback will continue his football career at the next level.
Rocky Lombardi has been selected by the Michigan Panthers in the United Football League Draft on Wednesday. Lombardi played three seasons for the Spartans from 2018 – 2020 before transferring to Northern Illinois where he also played three seasons.
Lombardi played in 22 games for the Spartans during his three years in East Lansing, Mich. He is most notably known for leading Michigan State to the massive upset win over rival Michigan in 2020.
