Wisconsin has seen to commits flip to Big Ten rivals in the last two days

Former Wisconsin class of 2024 commit Rob Booker announced his decommitment from the school yesterday. It took no time for Booker to find his new home, as the Waunakee, Wisconsin native announced his commitment to UCLA this afternoon.

Booker is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 466 player in the class of 2024, the No. 26 tight end and the No. 5 recruit from the state of Wisconsin.

Booker moving his pledge to Wisconsin’s future Big Ten rival means Luke Fickell now does not have a commitment from any of the top six in-state prospects. Three of the top four recruits are headed to Penn State, one is committed to Minnesota, one to Rutgers and now one to UCLA.

Wisconsin’s class of 2024 now ranks No. 19 on 247Sports.com after losing Booker and Vernon Woodward. The class is down to 14 total commitments.

Wisconsin’s class of 2024 drops to 15 commitments

Wisconsin’s class of 2024 had been all systems go under head coach Luke Fickell since the start of June. The group had grown to 16 commitments and risen inside the nation’s top-15 classes.

The momentum was stalled Wednesday afternoon as three-star tight end Rob Booker announced his decommitment from the school.

Booker is ranked as the No. 466 player in the class, the No. 26 tight end and the No. 5 recruit from the state of Wisconsin. He was the second tight end in the Badgers class alongside four-star Grant Stec.

The Waunakee, Wisconsin native now reopens his commitment with offers from schools including Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue and Pittsburgh.

Wisconsin’s class now has 15 total commitments with months still remaining in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Wisconsin football offers a new 2024 three-star TE out of Wisconsin:

On Saturday, Jim Leonhard and his coaching staff extended a scholarship offer to 2024 three-star tight end Rob Booker out of Waunakee, Wisconsin.

Per 247Sports, he’s the No. 28 TE in the country and the No. 7 player in Wisconsin.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound TE holds offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Wisconsin.

Booker, a standout at Waunakee High School, has registered 16 receptions for 250 yards and six touchdowns this season, helping lead his team to a 10-0 record.

The in-state talent announced his scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin via his Twitter account:
