LeBron James has dubbed his 17th year in the NBA his “Revenge SZN.” Through the first 20 games of said season, James is leading the league in assists with 10.9 while also ranking 10th in scoring at 25.7. The King is collecting 7.2 rebounds per contest as well and helping his Los Angeles Lakers to a 17-3 record with the calendar now flipping to December. So while I’m not exactly sure who he is seeking revenge from at the moment, I’m quite certain he’s getting it.
To serve as a soundtrack for the revenge tour, LeBron released a playlist for Pandora that includes what he’s been listening to while putting in work this season. Headlining the list are old school artists like 2Pac, Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G. as well as Drake, Future, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, the late Nipsey Hussle, and others.
Yessir!!! Back in the lab today with the athlete playlist on blast! 💪🏾😈 @UNINTERRUPTED @pandoramusic & I got the best of my selects coming your way. 👑 #ThekidfromAKRON https://t.co/6vxIY89igK https://t.co/Ap3hUhvSZX

The Pandora page also includes commentary from LeBron on a number of the songs that are featured on the playlist. James shares his thoughts on Nipsey’s “Summertime In That Cutlass”, Drake’s “Omerta”, Jay-Z’s “Politics as Usual” and Biggie’s “Going Back to Cali” as well as others.
