How long to beat Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a little different from the original, so we’ll tell you how long it’ll take to beat this new version of the game.

Whether it’s your first time with Resident Evil 4, or you want to relive this improved classic, Resident Evil 4 Remake is a great ride, but how long is it? Not including cutscenes, Resident Evil 4 Remake is 12-15 hours long – on your first playthrough, at least.

With 16 chapters of varying lengths, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to backtrack and catch all of the merchants, collectibles, or side puzzles you’ve missed along the way. Plus, you can always find the nearest typewriter to save your game.

Why stop with just one go-around? You’ll want to play through this game a second time in New Game+ mode, and you’ll no doubt speed through things in about five hours You’ll have better equipment and you’ll know what’s coming, but you can always ramp up the challenge with the Professional difficulty that unlocks upon finishing your first playthrough.

You’ll be facing stronger enemies, harder challenges, and you’ll only be able to rely on manual saves to retain your progress – no automatic checkpoints.
