Two Michigan State football portal targets choose Texas Tech

Texas Tech gained two commitments last night, both prospects on MSU’s big board

Michigan State football has been all over the transfer portal market, getting themselves into some high level portal recruitments. Two of those recruitments included Miami (OH) WR Reggie Virgil and Mississippi State CB Brice Pollack.

Unfortunately, after hosting both on visits, Virgil and Pollack have decided to make their commitments to Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders, winners of a couple of massive recruitments, are known to be a power player in the NIL sphere and overspending on assumed values for positions and prospects.

Michigan State will now move on to the next portion of their board.

It has already been reported that the Spartans are heavily after Miami (OH) transfer wide recevier Javon Tracy, and now it’s been reported that Michigan State has also offered his former teammate Reggie Virgil. On3 is reporting that Michigan State is one of many teams to offer Virgil since he entered the portal earlier this week.

According to On3, Virgil has also received offers from Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois, Florida State, Florida, Miami (FL), West Virginia, Texas Tech, UCF, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Pitt and UTSA.

This past season, Virgil recorded 41 receptions for 816 yards and nine touchdowns.
