Analyzing Sunday’s Barcelona vs. Real Valladolid odds and lines, with La Liga picks and predictions.

Barcelona (1 win, 0 losses, 1 draw) welcomes Real Valladolid (0-1-1) to Camp Nou Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Barcelona vs. Real Valladolid odds and lines, and make our best La Liga bets, picks and predictions.

Barcelona is coming into this match following a 3-3 midweek draw with EPL powerhouse Manchester City. In league play, they drew Rayo Vallecano to kick off the season then beat Real Sociedad 4-1 in their 2nd match.

Barcelona’s most notable move this offseason was acquiring phenom F Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich. He’s scored 2 goals so far this season.

As for Real Valladolid, they lost to Villarreal 3-0 to kick off the season then managed a draw against Sevilla last weekend, a showing which both teams left the pitch with 10 men.

Valladolid was promoted this season after finishing 2nd in Spain’s 2nd-tier league. F Shon Weissman led the team last season with 20 goals, but remains sidelined with an injury.

Prediction

Barcelona 4, Valladolid 0

Money line (ML)

PASS.

There’s no chance I’m betting a -700 money line favorite, especially in soccer. At the same time, the recently-promoted Valladolid haven’t given fans much to watch so far this season.

Ultimately, however you look at it, this is a pass.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 3.5 (-105).

In Barcelona’s season opener, both they and Rayo Vallecano had many chances. The result was a draw, but Barcelona ended with 21 shots.

They have had over 2 expected goals in both games this season. Against Sociedad, they did total 4 goals and allowed 1. This team’s strength is going to be in its attack, especially with Lewandowski.

Given Valladolid has done little to slow down opponents, especially in their more high-level matchup, a 3-0 loss to Villarreal, they should struggle to tame Barcelona.

Considering how both sides have played, a bet for this total is a bet for Barcelona dominating the match, which seems relatively safe.
