Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks have been extending offers and re-offers nearly every day since taking over in Austin. The latest came on Wednesday with 2023 prospect Daniel Demery.
Coming out of Dallas, the four-star is on the cusp of being a top 50 prospect in the 2023 class. Only eight players in the state of Texas have been ranked by 247Sports, with Demery being ranked at No. 5.
He is listed as an athlete but mainly played safety during his sophomore season. Demery comes out of Parish Episcopal High School and finished the year with five passes defended. On the offensive end, he played wide receiver and had nine receptions for 121 yards.
