This one only seemed like a matter of time.
Rashad Ross, a former Washington Redskins wide receiver, already put up a big game in his XFL debut with the DC Defenders, at one point catching a touchdown from Cardale Jones.
No big shock here — Ross had previously ripped through the now-defunct AAF too.
Ross has bounced around the NFL at times and served as a strong returner for the Redskins. At this pace, he’ll probably have more chances again soon.
As a note from ESPN Stats & Info pointed out, not only was he the best wideout in the AAF last year, he still holds a place in Washington’s record books thanks to his performance on special teams:
Rashad Ross is in for the score! He led the entire AAF in receiving touchdowns last year with 7.
Ross also had a 101-yard kickoff return TD with the Redskins in 2015, which is tied for the 2nd-longest in Redskins franchise history
