Analyzing Friday’s Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (38-38) and Philadelphia 76ers (50-26) meet Friday at Wells Fargo Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Raptors vs. 76ers odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors covered the spread as 6-point home favorites Tuesday with a 106-92 win vs. the Miami Heat. F Scottie Barnes finished with 22 points and a career-high 12 assists as Toronto won its 3rd straight game.

The 76ers covered as 6-point home favorites Wednesday with a 116-108 win vs. the Dallas Mavericks. F Joel Embiid scored 25 points as Philadelphia reached 50 wins in its fewest amount of games since 2001.

The 76ers lead this season’s series 2-1 straight up, 1-2 against the spread (ATS), and the Under has hit in 2 of the 3 meetings. Toronto covered as a 6-point road underdog in a 104-101 overtime loss as the Under (219.5) cashed in the most recent meeting Dec. 19.

Raptors at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 110, 76ers 109

Moneyline

Sprinkle on RAPTORS (+170).

The 76ers may be in a look-ahead spot since they will be visiting Embiid’s competition to win MVP in F Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday. The Raptors should also come out extra focused in an attempt to not lose their 5th straight road game.

Against the spread

BET RAPTORS +4.5 (+100).

The Raptors have been playing up to the level of their competition lately and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. teams with a winning percentage above .600. Toronto is 6-1-1 ATS in its last 8 games and should have extra motivation vs. the 76ers after losing to them in Round 1 of the playoffs last season.

Philadelphia should struggle to beat Toronto 3 straight times in 1 season, let alone win this game by 6 or more points.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 223.5 (-108).

The Under is 4-1 in Toronto’s last 5 games and 6-2 in its last 8 vs. teams with a winning record.

The Under has hit in 6 of Philadephia’s last 7 home games and 6 of the last 8 meetings between these teams. Expect this to be a low-scoring game as Toronto steps up defensively in an effort to not lose its 5th straight on the road.

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Game 6 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Game 6 odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (2-3) face the Philadelphia 76ers (3-2) Thursday in Game 6 of the first-round Eastern Conference series. Tip-off at Scotiabank Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Raptors are playing like they want to be the first team to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit. After getting blown out in both Game 1 and Game 2, the Raptors have arguably been the better team the last 3 games.

They did give up a late-game lead in Game 3, losing 104-101 on a game-winning 3 by C Joel Embiid. The Raptors won Game 5 by 15 points, holding Philadelphia to 88.

Toronto had just 3 offensive boards, so its No. 2-ranked offensive rebounding has yet to show in this series. Toronto is led by Pascal Siakam, who is averaging 22.6 per game.

As for the 76ers, since G Tyrese Maxey went off in Game 1 and Embiid went for 31 in Game 2, they’ve been bottled up, scoring under 105 in 3 straight. Philly is led by Embiid’s 24.8 points per game average.

76ers at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 104, 76ers 102

Money line

BET RAPTORS +102.

The Raptors have been the better team for 3 straight games. They beat the Sixers by 15 on the road in Game 5, and they’re starting to figure this Philly team out.

Maxey has cooled off quite a bit since his dominant 38-point Game 1 as well, shooting just 5-for-14 in Game 5 and scoring 12. Also, the lack of VanVleet will give more opportunity to Raptors G Gary Trent Jr., who is averaging 14.6 points per game.

The Raptors are grabbing just 9 offensive boards per game this series after averaging 13.4 per game in the regular  season. Once they come alive on the glass, they’ll be much more difficult to tame.

Lastly, Toronto was 17-16 against the spread (ATS) as a home favorite while Philly was 12-14-1 ATS as a road underdog. Given the slim margin, these seem notable and favor Toronto.

Against the spread

PASS.

I like the Raptors money line more than getting one point on the spread, especially considering the plus-money odds on the money line. Also, the Raptors have lost just 2 games all season by just 1 point.

Over/Under

LEAN to the UNDER 210.5 (-112).

The Under is 4-1 so far this series, and even with this one being the lowest, it still feels like the better option. In 2 of the 5 games, a team has missed 100 points.

Even at this lowest total yet in this series, the Under would still be 3-2. On the season, the Under was the better option for both sides with Toronto 42-45 O/U and Philly 39-45-3 O/U.

While the Sixers do sit 6th in field goal percentage in the playoffs, they also rank 16th in field goal attempts. The Raptors are the opposite, sitting 9th in shooting and 5th in attempts.

Lastly, this has been the second-slowest series in the playoffs, and that matters quite a bit when looking to bet on the overall total. While I like Toronto ML better, the UNDER 210.5 (-112) is a strong play as well.

Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 5 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 5 odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (1-3) visit Wells Fargo Center Monday to take on the Philadelphia 76ers (3-1) in Game 5 of the frst-round Eastern Conference series. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Raptors won for the first time in the series, winning Saturday’s Game 4 110-102 after losing Game 3 in brutal fashion when 76ers C Joel Embiid hit a game-winning 3 in overtime.

Toronto starting PG Fred VanVleet is listed as questionable. He played just 14 minutes in Game 4 as G Gary Trent Jr. and F Pascal Siakam combined for 58 points. Siakam has led the Raptors, averaging 22.5 points per game.

The Raptors have covered just 1 of their last 6 and are 15-13-1 against the spread (ATS) as road underdogs. The Sixers are 15-18 ATS as home favorites and covered both home games this series.

Embiid leads the way averaging 26 points per game. Second-year G Tyrese Maxey is the only other Sixer averaging over 20 ppg. The Sixers are 3-1 ATS in this series, covering in each win.

Raptors at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 108, Raptors 105

Money line

PASS.

I like the Sixers to close the series out at home, but at -360, I wouldn’t bet on it. Similarly, the Raptors haven’t come close to beating Philly at home, so I wouldn’t back their money line value at +270.

Against the spread

BET the RAPTORS +7.5 (-115).

The Raptors got punked in Game 1 and if you take out the second quarter of Game 2, they would’ve won that game by one. Obviously, that isn’t how it works. The point stands that the Sixers are not 8 or more points better.

The Raptors ranked second in offensive rebounding rate and finally started to utilize that aggression in Game 4, more than doubling the 76ers offensive boards.

They also had the third-lowest turnover rate this season. Toronto rebounds well and doesn’t turn it over. The Raptors must play at their pace.

They ranked top 5 in fast break points while the Sixers gave up the third-most fast break points. That’s where the Raptors need to abuse the slow Embiid-led Sixers, and they should figure that out and do just that in Game 5.

Considering Rookie of the Year F Scottie Barnes isn’t on the injury report, I like the Raptors to gain some traction earlier and at least make it a game.

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 210.5 (-115).

The Under is 3-1 in the first 4 games of the series, but this will be coming in as the lowest total yet. Had this been the projected score for all 4, the total would be an even 2-2.

If the Raptors want a chance, they’ll get out and run.

Both teams are also shooting well under their regular-season field goal attempts. The Sixers are even at a postseason-low 76.8 attempts. They’re hitting 49%, so it’s more so the pace, not the efficiency.

Toronto should want to up that in Game 5, and I expect a high-scoring, series-ending battle.

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Game 3 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Game 3 lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 4 seed Philadelphia 76ers (2-0) head north of the border Wednesday to play the No. 5 seed Toronto Raptors (0-2) at Scotiabank Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Below, we look at the 76ers vs. Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Philly crushed Toronto in Game 2 Monday 112-97 behind Sixers big Joel Embiid‘s game-highs in points (31 on 56.3% shooting and 12-of-14 from the foul line) and rebounds (11).

The Sixers are outperforming the Raptors in three of the “four factors” for the series and Philly’s FT/FGA rate is more than double Toronto’s. In fact, Embiid and James Harden have attempted more free throws than the Raptors’ entire team.

76ers at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 113, Sixers 109

Money line

LEAN RAPTORS (+105) despite them getting stomped in the first two games of this series. So much of Philly’s offense relies on getting to the charity stripe and the Raptors could get some home-cooking from the officials with the series back in Toronto.

The Raptors can live with Embiid destroying them in the paint, but most of the Sixers’ role players shot lights out from behind the arc in Philly. Typically, role players shoot worse on the road and Toronto’s team defense should be at its most tenacious with the season on the brink.

However, I’d prefer to get whatever points I can get with the Raptors since the first two games of this series were lopsided in Philly’s favor.

Also, I’d prefer sprinkling on Toronto’s adjusted series price at (+900) instead of betting the ML since Sixers coach Doc Rivers has been in several playoff series leads in recent seasons.

LEAN RAPTORS (+105).

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

LEAN to the RAPTORS +1.5 (-105) because Toronto still has edges over the 76ers -1.5 (-120) it can exploit.

If Philly’s role players cool off from the field then the Raptors turn live rebounds into fast break opportunities and the Sixers struggle in transition defense.

On top of that, Toronto is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the NBA and that should surface because Game 3 will be an all-in effort from the Raptors.

LEAN to the RAPTORS +1.5 (-105) only because the Over is my favorite play in this game.

Over/Under

BET the OVER 216.5 (-110) since Game 2 was trending over before it died out in the second half because the Sixers were in firm control and took their foot off the gas.

Toronto has no answer for Embiid and his ability to draw fouls. But the Raptors should get to the foul line more at home in Game 3 and the Raptors score more PPG at home.

Philly is 17-7-1 O/U as road favorites with a plus-3.7 total margin, Toronto is 24-17 O/U at home and the total has been steamed up from the 214.5-point opener, per Pregame.com.

Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 2 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 2 lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (0-1) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (1-0) Monday for Game 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series. Tip-off at the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Philly steamrolled Toronto 131-111 in Game 1, winning all “four factors” and outscoring the Raptors in every quarter despite Sixers big Joel Embiid and G James Harden shooting a combined 34.4% from the field.

However, the Sixers shot 51.2% as a team, attempted 11 more free throws, threw 29 assists on 3 turnovers and G Tyrese Maxey erupted for a game-high 38 points on 66.7% shooting (5-of-8 from 3).

The Raptors could be without several rotation players for Game 2, including two starters in F Scottie Barnes and SG Gary Trent Jr.

Raptors at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 114, Raptors 109

Money line

PASS.

Philly overwhelmed Toronto in Game 1 even though Embiid and Harden had subpar games, but the 76ers (-370) are way too expensive for a playoff game.

I “lean” toward Toronto’s spread but, with Barnes and Trent most likely missing Game 2, I cannot sprinkle on the Raptors (+280).

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

LEAN RAPTORS +7.5 (-112) because most of the market is hammering the 76ers -7.5 (-108) based on the Game 1 result, but the oddsmakers didn’t overreact to Philly’s beatdown of Toronto so nor should we.

Toronto’s scoring leading scorers over the regular season — F Pascal Siakam and All-Star PG Fred VanVleet — need to increase their volume because they scored a combined 42 points on 53.3% shooting in Game 1. Their usage should increase for Game 2 given Toronto’s injuries.

On the other hand, Philly’s role players couldn’t have performed any better in Game 1, but I’m expecting a touch of regression from Maxey and Sixers SF Tobias Harris (26 points in Game 1).

Also, Toronto’s defense accomplished its goals of slowing down Embiid and Harden in Game 1 and Raptors coach Nick Nurse has enough size and length on this roster to make meaningful adjustments ahead of Game 2.

LEAN RAPTORS +7.5 (-112).

Over/Under

BET the OVER 216.5 (-110) as a fade against the extreme line movement from the opening total of 220.5 and because both offenses match up well against both defenses.

Embiid and Harden obviously left meat on the bone in Game 1 so Philly’s offense could get a boost if either performs closer to their norm in Game 2. Furthermore, Toronto had a poor defensive free-throw attempt rate in the regular season, which means Embiid and Harden could live at the foul line.

Toronto is going to push the pace and the Sixers struggle in transition defense. The Raptors like to force turnovers and get fast break opportunities off live rebounds. If the Sixers have clumsy ball security or don’t get back on defense then Toronto is going to speed up the tempo of Game 2.

The OVER 216.5 (-110) is my favorite bet in this game.

Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 1 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers Game 1 odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Eastern Conference playoffs have begun and the series between the 4-seed Philadelphia 76ers and 5-seed Toronto Raptors kicks off Saturday. Tip-off for Game 1 is set for 6 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Center. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers Game 1 odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Raptors finished the regular season 48-34 but ended the season playing well with wins in 14 of their final 18 games. They were 24-17 on the road and at home. F Pascal Siakam and G Fred VanVleet were the team’s leading scorers, averaging 22.8 and 20.3 points per game, respectively. Toronto won three of four matchups with Philadelphia.

The 76ers went 51-31 in the regular season and won five of their final six contests. They were 24-17 at home and slightly better on the road at 27-14. C Joel Embiid had an MVP-caliber season to lead Philly, averaging 30.6 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. G James Harden averaged 21.0 and 10.5 assists per game in 21 games with the Sixers after being acquired at the trade deadline.

Raptors at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 115, Raptors 108

Money line

I like the 76ers in the opener but PASS on the bet as a single wager because it is just a little bit pricier than is worth it for a single game.

The Raptors won three of the four matchups between the two teams this season, including both games in Philly. Both teams ended the season playing well.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Raptors performed well against the spread on the road. They were 26-15 ATS on the road and 47-35 ATS overall during the regular season.

The 76ers went 17-24 ATS at home this season.

The Raptors went 4-0 ATS against Philly this season.

However, when it comes to the postseason, the matchup at center is overwhelmingly in favor of the Sixers. The Raptors will struggle to contain Embiid.

Take the 76ERS -4.5 (-120).

Over/Under

Three of the four games between the two teams in the regular season hit the over. Both teams scored 109 or more points in three of the four games.

They both averaged more than 109 points per game in the regular season.

The 76ers averaged 125.3 points over the final six games of the regular season. The Raptors averaged 114.7 in their last 10.

Take OVER 215.5 (-112).

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Philadelphia 76ers (49-30) head north of the border Thursday to play the Toronto Raptors (46-33). Tip-off at Scotiabank Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the 76ers vs. Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

As of Wednesday’s games, Philly would meet Toronto in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with the Sixers as the 4-seed hosting the 5-seed Raptors.

Philly has won three in a row following a three-game losing skid and is just 1-5 against the spread (ATS) over that span.

Toronto is 6-1 straight up (SU) and 5-2 ATS in its last seven games with the most recent being a 118-108 home win over the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday.

The Raptors are 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS this season versus the Sixers and the total is 2-1 Over/Under (O/U).

76ers at Raptors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 117, 76ers 111

Money line

LEAN RAPTORS (+105) only because I’d prefer to take however many points I can get with Toronto. But, the oddsmakers were correct in making the Raptors a favorite on the opener and the market is wrong to bet the 76ers up to a favorite.

The main reason is Philly big Joel Embiid struggles against the Raptors because their head coach Nick Nurse is a defensive mastermind. Embiid has a 55.3% true shooting rate versus Toronto (career 60.0% true shooting) and a minus-3 net rating (career plus-11 net rating) over his career.

The Raptors are also deep on the wing and the Sixers will be missing its best wing defender in Thybulle. Backup Philly SF Danny Green cannot be expected to handle Toronto SF Pascal Siakam who’s balling this season.

Toronto looked much better versus Atlanta than the final score indicates. All-Star PG Fred VanVleet shot an awful 4-for-21 from the field and missed a ton of wide-open looks. I expect VanVleet to have a bounce-back performance and to light up Philly’s backcourt Thursday.

Again, it’s only a LEAN to the RAPTORS (+105) because I prefer Toronto’s spread.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the RAPTORS +1.5 (-108) since they are home, the Sixers will be without its most important defender and Toronto is better coached with more continuity.

Philly’s defensive rebounding is suspect and Toronto is averaging 15.0 offensive rebounds per game in the three 76ers-Raptors meetings this season. Toronto is second in both offensive rebounding rate and second-chance points per game (PPG).

The Raptors also have a massive strength-on-weakness edge in fastbreak basketball. Toronto gets out in transition at the fifth-highest rate and scores the third-most fastbreak PPG. Whereas Philly’s defense is 29th in transition defensive efficiency and 28th in fastbreak PPG allowed.

The RAPTORS PLUS THE POINTS is my favorite play in this game.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 219.5 (-110) only because I much prefer Toronto’s spread more than the total and both defenses have been playing well over the past two weeks.

However, there’s a Pros vs. Joe’s scenario in the betting market for the total with a slight majority of the money being on the Over while more than 80% of the bets placed are on the Under, according to Pregame.com.

Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Philadelphia 76ers (43-26) host the Toronto Raptors (39-31) Sunday in an Atlantic Division battle at Wells Fargo Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Toronto had a 5-game winning streak – and a 5-0 ATS (against the spread) streak – snapped in a 128-123 overtime home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers as an 8.5-point favorite Friday.

Philly has won its past two games, winning at the Cavaliers 118-114 Wednesday and dumping the visiting Mavericks 111-101 Friday.

Toronto Philadelphia split their first two meetings this season with the road team winning each, but the Raptors covered the spread in both games and the Over went 2-0.

Raptors at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 110, 76ers 108

Money line

SPRINKLE on the RAPTORS (+210).

Their spread is a sharp play, plus this is a buy-low spot for Toronto and a “sandwich” spot for the 76ers.

The Raptors just lost to a terrible Lakers team and the Sixers got a double-digit victory over a surging Mavericks team, which are why we are getting a fat payout on Toronto’s ML.

Furthermore, there’s an outside chance Embiid misses Sunday’s game since Philly is playing the first of a back-to-back. Plus, the Sixers could be looking ahead to Monday’s matchup against the Miami Heat.

Again, I’d only SPRINKLE on the RAPTORS (+210) with the plan of hitting Toronto’s spread harder.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the RAPTORS +6.5 (-115) heavier than or instead of their ML because more than 90% of the early action is on the 76ers and nine of 10 sports gamblers don’t win in this racket.

Also, this is a much better spot for the Raptors, who are 4-0 ATS in their last four games versus teams with a 60.0% winning rate or better. Plus, Toronto is 13-6 ATS on the road versus teams with a winning record, while Philly is 7-12 ATS at home versus winning teams and 1-5 ATS as a 5-to-7-point favorite.

On top of that, Philly is 11th in adjusted-net rating and Toronto is 13th, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG). But the Raptors play much better against teams in the middle 10 of net efficiency.

Toronto has a plus-4.5 adjusted-net rating (ranked sixth) versus mid-tier teams and a plus-3.5 ATS margin, whereas Philly has a plus-3.1 adjusted-net rating and a minus-0.3 ATS margin, per CTG.

The RAPTORS PLUS THE POINTS is my favorite wager in this game.

Over/Under

PASS because the Under is the “sharp” side, but we’d be getting the worst of the number since the game opened with a 226-point total, according to Pregame.com.

Toronto is 36-34 O/U overall and 17-20 O/U on the road. Philly is 30-37-2 O/U overall and 13-21-1 O/U at home.

Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Philadelphia 76ers (8-4) host the Toronto Raptors (6-6) Thursday for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off at Wells Fargo Center. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions, and bets.

Toronto has lost three straight including two double-digit blowouts in back-to-back games against the Brooklyn Nets Sunday and at the Boston Celtics Tuesday. The Raptors are 5-7 ATS and 5-7 O/U with the 12th-best net rating (plus-1.2).

Philly has lost two in a row to the New York Knicks Monday and the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday, both without big Joel Embiid. Despite all their injuries, the Sixers have the fifth-best net rating (plus-6.3) and are 7-5 ATS and 4-7-1 O/U.

The Sixers won and covered against the Raptors in two of three regular-season meetings last year. Embiid put up 24.0 points per game on just 32.0% shooting (30.0% from behind the arc) in those contests.

Raptors at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 107, 76ers 101

Money line

Slight “LEAN” to the RAPTORS (+122) because I “like” Toronto plus the points and there’s some value in the underdog’s money line in this spot.

The Raptors have been road warriors thus far, winning and covering four of their five away games to start the year.

Two of Philly’s massive edges over Toronto that decided last year’s meetings should be significantly reduced in tonight’s game.

Not only did Embiid dominate the Raptors on the glass last season but Philly’s big draws a ton of fouls on the opponent and gets to the foul line a lot.

Moreover, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Embiid grades in the 94th percentile of bigs in on/off offensive FT rate and 91st percentile in on/off defensive rebounding rate.

However, Embiid is sidelined because of the NBA’s healthy and safety protocols. The Sixers might not get to the line as often as they’re accustomed to and the Raptors have been an awesome rebounding team through three weeks.

Toronto has the highest offensive rebounding rate in the NBA and Philly’s defensive rebounding rate is the second-worst. Furthermore, the Raptors are much better in the ball security department — Toronto has the fifth-best offensive turnover rate and the top defensive turnover rate in the NBA.

Against the spread

Definitely BET the RAPTORS +2.5 (-105) heavier than or instead of Toronto’s money line based on the aforementioned analysis.

I think there’s extra value on the Raptors in this spot because the average bettor is starting to see how well-coached Philly is and Toronto got crushed last night by a mediocre Celtics team sans one of their best players.

Over/Under

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Under 210.5 (-115) because these teams play at the two slowest paces in the Association and both could be without two All-Star-caliber players.

However, we are getting to this total way late as it opened at 213.5 but most of the value in this line has already been steamed out.

Raptors at 76ers: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Raptors 108, 76ers 106

Money line (ML)

The 76ers were hammered 118-94 on the road by the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday. The ugly loss followed Saturday’s 109-89 victory at the New York Knicks and a 113-107 win over the Washington Wizards to open the season Dec. 23. Embiid and his 28.0 points per game are expected to return to the lineup Tuesday; four other players are averaging double-digit PPG with all but Embiid having played all three games.

The Raptors lost consecutive games but have had an extra day of rest following Saturday’s 119-114 loss at the San Antonio Spurs. Five players are scoring in double digits, but none have more than 18.0 PPG. They held the lead after the opening quarter in both games thus far and should continue improving their rotation after several key offseason departures.

Back TORONTO (+105) at plus-money for the first time this season. The Raps beat the Sixers 3-1 in their 2019-20 head-to-head series.

Against the spread (ATS)

We can back the RAPTORS +1.5 (-110) with 1 point of insurance in the event of a wonky ending. They’re shooting just 74.1% from the free-throw line as a team and are being outrebounded by 8.5 boards per game.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Raptors’ poor defensive play has been one of the biggest surprises of the season for them as they’ve allowed at least 113 points in each game. Trust in reigning Coach of the Year Nick Nurse to get his healthy team back on track, especially against one of their most familiar opponents.

The Sixers held the Knicks to just 89 points before the blowout loss at Cleveland and should show better defensive focus under new head coach Doc Rivers.

Back the UNDER 218.5 (-110).
