Johnny Hekker is having himself quite a week.
After a historic performance on Monday night against the Bears where he became the first player in the last 30 years to pin at least 5 punts inside the 10-yard line, Hekker was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Then on Thursday, the NFL announced that Hekker has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October.
It’s the second time in his career that he’s won the award, with the first coming in December of 2016.
In October, Hekker punted 21 times and downed 13 of them inside the 20-yard line. He only had two touchbacks and allowed just seven returns, with three fair catches being called

Johnny Hekker is being rewarded for his historic punting performance against the Bears this week.
On Wednesday, he was named Special Teams Player of the Week in the NFC, the fourth time in his career that he’s won the award.
The last time was in Week 17 of last season when he pinned the Cardinals inside the 20 on three of his four punts.
This week, however, he put together one of the best punting performances of all time.
He punted it five times and all five of them were downed inside the 10-yard line. He’s the first punter in the last 30 years to pin at least five punts inside the 10.
Hekker is the third Rams player to win a weekly award this year, joining Micah Kiser and Aaron Donald, who each won Defensive Player of the Week honors

Fans have been calling for the Rams to make a change at kicker with Samuel Sloman missing three PATs and two field goals in six games.
They could be on the verge of doing so. The team announced on Tuesday that it has signed kicker Kai Forbath off the Bears’ practice squad, adding him to the 53-man roster.
Sloman is still on the roster, however, so this could be a sign that the Rams will allow him to compete with Forbath throughout the week.
Forbath previously spent time with the Vikings, Jaguars and Cowboys, most recently kicking for Dallas late last season.
He began his career with Washington in 2012 and has made 86.8% of his field-goal attempts in his career

This is the seventh time Donald has won Defensive Player of the Week, which is the most all-time in Rams history.

Initially reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams and Kupp are finalizing a three-year extension. Los Angeles made the news official Saturday afternoon.
The deal is through 2023, so it will tack on to the final year of his rookie contract.
A third-round selection out of Eastern Washington in 2017, the 27-year-old has hauled in 196-of-283 passes for 2,596 yards, and 21 touchdowns over 39 games in his three-year career
