Watch: John Wolford was electric in Rams’ scrimmage this summer

Sean McVay was wowed by John Wolford in the Rams’ scrimmage at SoFi Stadium this year.

John Wolford will take over as the Rams’ starting quarterback this week for the season finale against Arizona, which will not only be his first NFL start, but the first snaps he’ll ever take on offense.

He’s a relative unknown, even to some casual Rams fans. But with Wolford in line to start for L.A., interest in the backup quarterback is at an all-time high. Recognizing fans’ thirst for John Wolford content, the Rams shared highlights of him from the team’s scrimmage this summer.

It includes Sean McVay’s analysis of the young quarterback, and twice he compared Wolford to Doug Flutie.

“He’s a little Doug Flutie, man!” McVay said.

“Dude, Wolford is ballin’, bro,” he said at another point in the video.

Obviously, it was only a scrimmage, but this was against a great Rams defense. It showcased Wolford’s elusiveness and mobility, highlighting his ability to escape the pocket and make plays with his legs – something that’s lacking from Jared Goff’s game.

Win or lose on Sunday, it’ll be fun to see what Wolford can do in his first NFL action.

Watch Aaron Donald’s top plays from the 2019 season

Aaron Donald’s numbers may have declined a bit from 2018, but he was still as dominant as ever last season.

Aaron Donald’s 2019 season was viewed as a down year by his standards, seeing his sack total drop from a DT-record 20.5 in 2018 to 12.5 last season. It wasn’t close to a disappointing performance by the five-time All-Pro, though.

Donald still led the NFL with 20 tackles for loss, was selected to the Pro Bowl and named a first-time All-Pro for the fifth straight year, dominating on the interior when not double- and triple-teamed.

No pass rusher commands more attention from the opposing team than Donald, which makes his yearly output even more impressive.

Looking back at his 2019 season, he made a number of impactful plays and was a force for the Rams up front. Check out the highlight package of his top plays from last season below.

Watch highlights from Rams’ Week 11 win over Bears

The Rams held the Bears in check on Sunday night, winning 17-7.

But before we get to Week 12, take a look at the highlights from Sunday’s game, which included a 50-yard reception by Cooper Kupp, an interception by Troy Hill and a huge hit by Jalen Ramsey.
