Watch: Matthew Stafford hits wide-open Cooper Kupp deep for 62-yard TD

The Commanders left Cooper Kupp wide open down the sideline for an easy 62-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford

Cooper Kupp is one of the best receivers in the league but the Washington Commanders apparently didn’t feel the need to cover him on the Rams’ first drive of the second half. On just the second play of the drive, Matthew Stafford chucked it deep for Kupp, who was wide open and didn’t have a defender within 15 yards of him.

Kupp hauled it in and strolled into the end zone for a 62-yard touchdown, giving the Rams a 20-0 lead over the Commanders.

It was a complete coverage bust by Washington, failing to recognize Kupp running down the right sideline as multiple defenders jumped the underneath route to cover Demarcus Robinson.

Might want to cover that guy wearing No. 10.

Kupp had 17 yards of separation when the ball got to him, which, according to Next Gen Stats is the most of any completion on a pass 20-plus yards down the field in the last two years.

Watch highlights from Rams’ thrilling win over Browns in Week 13

The Rams came away with a big win against the Browns on Sunday thanks to clutch plays from Puka Nacua, John Johnson III and Matthew Stafford

For the first time since Week 6, the Los Angeles Rams are at the .500 mark. They took down the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon to move their record to 6-6, keeping them in the hunt for a playoff spot in the NFC.

Though the final score of 36-19 made this seem like a blowout, it was close midway through the fourth quarter until the Rams scored 16 unanswered points, capped off by a safety in the final minute.

Puka Nacua had a terrific performance with 139 total yards and a touchdown, as did Matthew Stafford, John Johnson, Aaron Donald and Kyren Williams. Nacua’s 70-yard touchdown in the first quarter was a huge play in the game, as was Johnson’s interception in the fourth quarter to preserve the Rams’ lead.

If you missed the Rams’ game against the Seahawks on Sunday, you’ll want to check out the highlights

Aside from getting blown out by the Cowboys and embarrassed by the Packers with Matthew Stafford sidelined, the Los Angeles Rams have played some close and exciting games this season. Sunday’s matchup with the Seahawks was no different.

The Rams fell behind 13-0 in the first half before coming all the way back and outscoring the Seahawks 10-0 in the fourth quarter to win, 17-16. Seattle never found the end zone after its opening drive and the Rams held the Seahawks to only 87 net yards in the second half of the game.

There were some ugly drives offensively, with three three-and-outs and a two-play drive that ended with an interception, but the Rams gained 74 and 75 yards on their final two possessions to seal the victory.

The defense is what kept Los Angeles in the game all afternoon, too. The Rams had two sacks and Derion Kendrick came up with a clutch interception in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning field goal, his third pass breakup of the day.

Watch highlights from Rams’ 26-9 win over Cardinals on Sunday

The Rams came away with a big win over the Cardinals on Sunday, largely thanks to Kyren Williams’ outstanding performance on the ground

For the first time all season, the Los Angeles Rams were sizable favorites over their opponent. They were expected to beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and while that didn’t look very promising in the first half, the Rams came alive in the second half and won in convincing fashion.

They cruised to a 26-9 win over the Cardinals, pitching a shutout in the second half and outscoring Arizona 20-0 in the final 30 minutes. For a team that has struggled to do much in the second half all season, this was an encouraging development to see.

If you missed the Rams’ big win over Arizona on Sunday and want to catch up on the action, check out the highlights in the video below. You’ll see a 49-yard catch by Cooper Kupp, a 31-yard run by Kyren Williams and two takeaways by the Rams to help them to victory.

Watch: Cooper Kupp scores first TD of season to give Rams the lead

Cooper Kupp’s first touchdown of the season was a 13-yarder from Matthew Stafford, giving the Rams the lead over Arizona

The Los Angeles Rams were asleep on offense in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals but Cooper Kupp’s 49-yard reception before halftime may have been the wakeup call they needed. That carried over into the second half with the Rams coming out by running it eight straight times and capping off the drive with a 13-yard touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Kupp

It was Kupp’s first touchdown of the season, his first since last November when he suffered an ankle injury. He was due for a score and it was only a matter of time before Stafford found him in the end zone for six points again.

Watch: Puka Nacua makes slick one-handed catch vs. Bengals

Puka Nacua just keeps making plays for the Rams

Puka Nacua has been fantastic for the Rams so far this season, making the loss of Cooper Kupp feel a bit less painful in the first two weeks. He continued to make plays in Week 3 against the Bengals, showing off his hands – or hand – in the first quarter on Monday Night Football.

Nacua hauled in a pass from Matthew Stafford with one hand, sticking his left arm out to make the grab for 8 yards and nearly a first down. It wasn’t the best throw by Stafford, but Nacua still made the play and made his quarterback look good.

Unfortunately, the Rams couldn’t convert on third down to extend the drive, but Nacua is off to a good start already with two catches for 20 yards in the first quarter.

Watch: Kyren Williams bowls his way into the end zone for 2nd TD

Kyren Williams is already up to 4 TDs this season after scoring his 2nd of the day against the 49ers

Kyren Williams didn’t score a touchdown last season but he’s apparently bought some land in the end zone this year. After scoring once already in the first half against the 49ers, Williams punched it in for another touchdown in the second quarter to give the Rams a 17-10 lead.

The first came on a reception but the second was just a great effort up the middle by Williams, who lowered his shoulder and bowled into the end zone for six.

It’s his fourth touchdown through the first six quarters of the season already, making the Rams look smart for committing to him as their starter up to this point.

Watch highlights of Rams’ big win vs. Seahawks in Week 1

The Rams dominated the Seahawks in a 30-13 win on Sunday, with plenty of highlight-reel plays made by LA

The Los Angeles Rams went into Week 1 as 4.5-point underdogs to the Seattle Seahawks but they certainly looked like the better team – and Geno Smith even said afterward that L.A. wanted the win more.

The Rams blew out the Seahawks on the road, 30-13, showing the rest of the football world that they’re likely to remain competitive, even in a year when everyone thinks they’re tanking. Matthew Stafford played a near-perfect game with 334 yards passing and no turnovers, while Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell had 119 yards each in the win.

Not only was it surprising to see the offense play so well without Cooper Kupp, but the defense was outstanding in the second half. Seattle only managed 12 yards and one first down in the final two quarters, with 9 of those yards coming on the last play of the game.

It was another tough night for the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday as they dropped their second straight preseason game by a score of 34-17 – this time to the Las Vegas Raiders. Stetson Bennett got the start at quarterback and wasn’t relieved by Brett Rypien until the fourth quarter, but the rookie didn’t play particularly well.

Los Angeles did keep things relatively interesting in the first half but Las Vegas scored a touchdown with less than 10 minutes to play to go up 17 points and the Rams couldn’t come back from that significant deficit.

If you missed the game on Saturday night, the NFL shared full highlights from the Rams’ loss in the video below, featuring Jake Hummel’s pick-six, Keir Thomas’ sack and Bennett’s 4-yard touchdown run.

Watch highlights from Rams’ close loss vs. Texans

The Rams came up just short against the Texans, losing 24-20 at home. Check out highlights from the dramatic defeat.

The Rams were unable to make it two wins in a row on Friday night, losing to the Texans by a score of 24-20 at home. The loss dropped their record to 1-1 in the preseason, with the Bengals up next in the finale a week from now.

It looked like the Texans might win fairly comfortably after the Rams fell behind 14-6, but a special teams touchdown by Los Angeles kept things interesting. In fact, the Rams had a 20-17 lead until the final minute of the game when Houston scored a late touchdown to go up 24-20.

Even still, the Rams had a chance with less than a minute to play, but they came up just short after Lance McCutcheon was unable to break a big play.
