MLB fans ripped the truly hideous Atlanta Braves’ Quikrete uniform patch

Okay, so this sponsorship logo reveal for the Braves did NOT go over well.

Is it as bad as people say it is?

The Atlanta Braves have been one of the best teams in baseball this year, but a new jersey patch has some folks doing double takes.

The franchise announced on Thursday that packaged concrete manufacturer Quikrete had agreed to sponsoring a patch on the Braves’ jerseys for the next five years.

It’s the first time a partner logo has been stitched on an Atlanta jersey, and the yellow patch will make its debut on Friday as the Braves take on the Seattle Mariners at home.

Well, baseball fans got a look at the new Quikrete logo that will appear on Braves’ uniforms, and the initial response was not promising.

Yes, that is a giant, yellow brick on the sleeve that just says “QUIKRETE” in big, bold letters.

As much as it’s just becoming commonplace in some sports leagues for sponsor logos to appear on the jerseys, this admittedly obtuse jersey patch has courted quite the reactions so far.
