In anticipation of a shortage of healthy wide receivers this week, the Pittsburgh Steelers have added two more to their practice squad and released two players to make room.
Pittsburgh announced it has signed wide receivers Quadree Henderson and Amara Darboh to the practice squad on Monday. To make room, the Steelers released wide receiver Terry Wright and linebacker Sutton Smith.
Henderson is a second-year pro who started his NFL career as a UDFA for the Steelers. He’s made his way between a handful of teams and was last on the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers. Henderson should have a shot to make the roster if Pittsburgh needs a return man to replace Diontae Johnson.
Darboh was a third-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks back in 2017. He’s never played to his potential but in his defense has dealt with some injuries during his career.
