Watch: Protesters dragged off after storming 18th green at 2024 Travelers Championship as final group finishes

Numerous fans stormed the 18th green as the final group was lining up their putts at TPC River Highlands, throwing smoke bombs and other objects on the green. CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz said it looked as if four people had been handcuffed within a few seconds of rushing the green.

Scottie Scheffler was lining up a birdie putt from just off the green, and Tom Kim had a birdie putt from 10 feet away to tie Scheffler when the incident happened.

Police quickly corralled the fans who rushed the green as officials worked quickly to clean up the green.

The group Extinction Rebellion is claiming responsibility for the protest, saying it was not protesting any individual or organization but the worldwide danger of climate breakdown.

The final grouping was able to finish the 18th hole, but before the playoff with Kim and Scheffler, the hole was recut toward the front of the green to avoid the area where the protesters were.

People showed up at the Colin Kaepernick tryout to protest a protestor. Fun stuff.

Colin Kaepernick is trying out for NFL teams today, in a hastily put-together workout that’s probably more of an NFL PR move than anything resembling an actual tryout.

Nevertheless, he’s there, and hopefully this isn’t as much as a sham as it sure seems like it is. But with the NFL refusing to say which teams will be there, refusing to say which personnel from the teams will be there, and reportedly refusing to even tell Kaepernick which receivers will be catching his passes, it sure does seem like a sham.

Kaepernick’s workout is being held at the Atlanta Falcons’ practice facility in Flower Branch, Georgia.

The Undefeated sent Tucker Toole to cover the event, and wouldn’t you know it, he found some people outside there who woke up early on Saturday to go and stand outside in the early morning and DEFEND AMERICA.

There were supporters as well, but yeah, they had some guys there ready to protect our nation from an evil assault on it by a guy kneeling to protest police violence.

As a smart person on Twitter pointed out, these protestors are there using their First Amendment right to protest … someone using his First Amendment right to protest.

Do they see the irony in this? I’m going to guess not!
