The Portland Trail Blazers (17-42) visit the Minnesota Timberwolves (42-19) Monday. Tip-off from Target Center is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Minnesota leads 3-0

Portland picked up a 107-100 OT victory at the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday, covering as a 2-point underdog. G Anfernee Simons’ 30 points led the way for Portland in the win. The Trail Blazers have won back-to-back games as road underdogs — both at the Grizzlies.

Minnesota suffered an 89-88 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday, failing to cover as a 2.5-point home favorite. G Anthony Edwards scored a team-high 27 points, but the Timberwolves shot only 38.8% from the field and 27.3% from deep in the loss. The Timberwolves have lost back-to-back games and are 0-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 4 contests.

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 111, Trail Blazers 95

Moneyline

PASS.

Minnesota (1200) should pick up the win, but such a big favorite is never worth the risk of backing. Bet on the spread and/or Over/Under instead.

Against the spread

LEAN TIMBERWOLVES -14.5 (-108).

Minnesota has covered the spread in 3 consecutive meetings with Portland and is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 series matchups. The Timberwolves have also been the slightly better team ATS this season, being 31-30 on the season while the Trail Blazers are 27-32.

The Blazers’ multitude of injuries also makes this bet safer.

This is only a lean because Minnesota has been bad ATS recently and because the Trail Blazers have been good ATS in their recent road games.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 211.5 (-110).

The Under has hit in 3 of Portland’s last 4 overall and is 2-1 in its last 3 road outings. For Minnesota, the Under is 4-2 in its last 6 games. The Under has also been safer for both teams this season, being 31-30 for Minnesota and 32-27 for Portland.

The Under has also hit in 3 of the last 5 meetings between these squads.

This is only a lean because the Over and Under have both been even for both squads this season and in recent Portland-Minnesota matchups.

Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Portland Trail Blazers (32-45) visit the Minnesota Timberwolves  (39-39) on Sunday. Tip from Target Center is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Trail Blazers fell 138-114 while failing to cover as 14-point home underdogs against the Sacramento Kings on Friday. They have lost 5 games in a row and are 1-9 in their last 10. In that span, they are 2-8 against the spread (ATS) to fall to 35-41-1 ATS this season.

Minnesota fell 123-111 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday failing to cover as 2-point home underdogs. They have now lost back-to-back games. The Wolves are 5-5 in their last 10 games and 5-5 ATS in that stretch. This season, they are 37-41 ATS.

Portland leads the season series 2-1 winning twice at home in mid-December and covering as favorites in both games. Minnesota won the most recent matchup 113-106 on Jan. 4 to cover as a 1.5-point home favorite.

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 118, Trail Blazers 100

Moneyline

PASS.

The -2000 odds on a Wolves team facing a beaten and bruised Blazers squad presents no value.

Against the spread

LEAN TIMBERWOLVES -17.5 (-105).

The Trail Blazers are a mere fraction of their regular squad as a result of injury and coming up on the end of the season. They lost their previous 2 games by a combined total of 64 points and have failed to cover the spread in each of their last 3 games in which they were also double-digit underdogs. They are also 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 223.5 (-110).

The Under is 3-1 in both the Blazers’ and T-wolves’ last 4 games. The Under is also 3-0-1 in Minnesota’s last 4 Sunday games.

The Under is 22-15 in road games this season for the Blazers and 22-16-1 in home games for the Timberwolves.

With many key players sidelined in this matchup, do not expect a lot of points, especially from Portland which will have trouble keeping Sunday’s game a competition.

Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Portland Trail Blazers (19-17) battle the Minnesota Timberwolves (17-21) Wednesday. Tip from Target Center is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Trail Blazers beat the Detroit Pistons 135-106 Monday, covering as 9.5-point home favorites. That against-the-spread (ATS) win pushed their season-long record to 22-14. Portland, however, is just 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games. Its strength is 3-point shooting efficiency, ranking 3rd in the league (38.4%).

The Timberwolves are just 15-23 ATS this season. They beat the Denver Nuggets 124-111 Monday, covering as 4.5-point home underdogs. The Wolves are 2-2 ATS in their last 4 games and 5-5 ATS in their last 10. While not a great 3-point shooting team, they rank 3rd in FG percentage (48.9%).

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 120, Trail Blazers 116

Moneyline

BET TIMBERWOLVES (+100).

Minnesota is coming off a double-digit win against the top team in the conference. It has a high ceiling with G Anthony Edwards and C Rudy Gobert anchoring it on both sides of the court.

The Blazers have also been in the rut recently, just 2-4 straight up and ATS in their last 6. They are 10-11 on the road while Minnesota is 10-9 at home.

The presence of Gobert should aid limiting what G Damian Lillard can do. The Wolves are solid on both sides of the court, ranking 6th in opponents’ FG percentage (46.1%) and 3rd in FG percentage.

Expect its efficiency and recent success mixed with a struggling Blazers team to help them win this battle. Back the TIMBERWOLVES (+100).

Against the spread

PASS.

Considering the value in backing the Wolves on the spread, I would rather take their even-money moneyline odds.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 233.5 (-110).

The Wolves have gone Over in 5 of their last 6 games. The Blazers put up 135 points on the Pistons Monday and have topped 120 in 2 of their last 3 games.

Portland’s top-2 scorers are shooting over 37% from deep, which is an area the Wolves may struggle to defend, sitting 27th in opponents’ 3-point FG  percentage (36.9).

If the Blazers can light it up from deep, the Wolves should pick up the pace and ultimately help the OVER 233.5 (-110) be the better play.

Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Portland Trail Blazers (25-38) visit Target Center Monday to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (36-29). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Timberwolves will again host the Trail Blazers, having taken them down 135-121 Saturday night in Minnesota. The Wolves covered as 13.5-point favorites.

It was their fourth-straight cover and pushed their 10-game against the spread (ATS) record to 6-3-1. Minnesota is 34-29-2 ATS on the year. It is led by star C Karl-Anthony Towns who is averaging 24.6 points per game.

Portland will be without big man C Jusuf Nurkic and starting PG Anfernee Simons. The Blazers have failed to cover four straight games and are just 4-6 ATS over their last 10 outings.

They’re 25-37-1 ATS on the season, the second-worst covering record in the NBA. G Brandon Williams and G Josh Hart will likely captain the Portland attack.

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 122, Trail Blazers 103

Money line

PASS.

Minnesota should get the easy win with most of Portland’s key players sidelined. However, at -1800, there is no value in betting the Timberwolves to win outright.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET on the TIMBERWOLVES -14.5 (-107).

The Wolves have been hot lately and have covered four straight games. They defeated the Blazers by 14 and that was with Simons dropping 38 points and 9 triples.

The Wolves should demolish Portland without that production. KAT put up 36 Saturday on 13-for-17 shooting should have the same success against Portland C Drew Eubanks.

The Wolves are 3-0 ATS this season when favored by 10 or more points. Against a Portland team that won’t have much offensive firepower, I’d take the team sitting second in points per game to impose their will.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the UNDER 232.5 (-107).

Minnesota is more than likely going to be without its second-leading scorer, Edwards.

Portland will also be down its top three-scoring threats with the main scorer listed as active being Hart, who is averaging just 13.9 points per game.

Despite the Wolves ranking second in points per game and 41-24 O/U on the season, I don’t see the Blazers having the offense to help push this total over. The Blazers are 29-32-2 O/U and are 4-5-1 O/U over their last 10 games.

Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Portland Trail Blazers at Minnesota Timberwolves odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Portland Trail Blazers (25-37) continue their four-game road trip with the first of two games in a row against the Minnesota Timberwolves (35-29). Tip-off is 8 p.m. ET at Target Center. Below, we look at the Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Trail Blazers, who won four straight games leading up to the All-Star break, have been bad since coming back. They have lost all three of their games since the break by 30 points or more and are currently outside the playoff picture in the Western Conference’s 11th seed.

The Timberwolves have won three games in a row and are 11-4 in their last 15 outings. They are playing for the second night in a row after blowing out the Oklahoma City Thunder 138-101 on the road Friday. They are now the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 121, Trail Blazers 102

Money line

PASS on the money line unless you are including it in some parlay. The Blazers are just awful right now and have been all year on the road (9-19 record). They are also only 11-27 against conference opponents.

The Timberwolves have been playing extremely well overall since the end of January. They have beaten the Blazers in both previous meetings this season.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Blazers have lost each of their last three games by at least 30 points.

The Timberwolves have covered the spread in their last three games.

The two previous games between the two teams this season were decided by a total of 7 points, but with how both teams are playing right now, I would expect the Wolves to blow out the Blazers tonight.

Take the TIMBERWOLVES -14.5 (-107).

Over/Under

Tonight’s game has a high projected total, but Minnesota’s last five games have all had at least 233 points.

The Trail Blazers have not cracked 100 points in their last three games and have failed to score 100 in seven of their last 12 games.

Take UNDER 233.5 (-108).

Trail Blazers at Timberwolves: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Trail Blazers 125, Timberwolves 115

Money line (ML)

Minnesota is playing better since the All-Star break but, the fact of the matter is they have lost 10 of their last 11 games and 14 of their last 16. Portland, meanwhile, has won four of its last five.

The Timberwolves have not won on their home court since January. That isn’t something to bet on now. It will happen at some point, but I wouldn’t put money on it.

Take the TRAIL BLAZERS (-200).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Wolves are 2-0 ATS since the All-Star break. Despite losing by only four to Portland on Saturday, I don’t expect them to be able to replicate that performance two nights in a row.

They still have the sixth-worst cover percentage in the league (43.2%) and Portland is 19-18 ATS and 12-7 ATS on the road.

Take the TRAIL BLAZERS -5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

The two teams combined for 246 points on Saturday. Six of the last seven for Minnesota have gone Over. Portland’s Over percentage this season is 56.8%. The numbers tell you to go that way.

Take OVER 234.5 POINTS (-110).
