The Primeira Liga is back for its second week, Portugal’s top flight has been on pause since March 12th. In the first match on Wednesday, we have Benfica who is tied for first place taking on Portimonense, who is coming in on a one-game win streak.
They will be holding matches without fans and will be taking into all precautions keeping the players, coaches, and folks involved safe.

Benfica is coming off a home draw against Tondela, which was also their fourth consecutive draw in all competitions. They are looking to get back on track and stay competitive with top-ranked Porto. Both Julian Weigl and Andrija Zivkovic will be able to suit up after being hurt in the bus attack last week.
In their first game back after the break, Portimonense pulled off a surprising 1-0 victory over Gil Vicente. This was their first win in 13 matches in all competitions, so they will look to continue to build momentum and expect a solid performance against Benfica.
