Pokemon’s week-long stream lets you watch Snorlax sleep

Pokémon Sleep is launching soon, so a week-long stream has been launched where you can wish a good night to Snorlax.

Pokémon Sleep, a new Pokémon-themed sleep-tracking app is releasing later this month and to promote it the official Pokémon Japan YouTube channel is streaming all week long.

This isn’t any normal stream though, as it’s designed to instead be an ASMR stream where we get to watch Snorlax and a handful of other Pokémon snooze the days away. The stream is set to last for a week, hopefully with the app’s launch coming at the end of it.

There are some interactive elements to the stream too. Commenting “Good Night” in any language has a chance to make some balls of energy appear and build up a bar as well as increase an on-screen number on Snorlax. When the bar fills, Snorlax briefly wakes up, stands up, and releases all that energy.

Other Pokémon show up and have a nap from time to time. When we checked in on the stream, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle were dosing the field, with a Pichu adorably sleeping on top of Snorlax’s stomach.

It’s unlikely that any dramatic news or reveals will come from this stream, as it’s designed to be a peaceful ASMR experience, but there’s almost a whole week to go, so we’ll keep an eye on it just in case.
