LaMelo Ball has been on a tear lately. He’s started in his last five games for the Hornets and he’s averaging 22.6 points per game, 6.6 assists and 6.0 rebounds while shooting a cool 56% from three.
Safe to say, he’s been pretty good. And he continued that trend against the Rockets on Monday night with a 24 point, 10 assist night.
It wasn’t just the numbers, though. It was how much fun it was watching him get those numbers. He just made the game look so easy. There were a bunch of slick passes and no-look lobs mixed in with 7 crazy 3-pointers mixed in. It was just fun to watch.
He also made a bit of history, becoming the youngest player in NBA history with 7 made 3-pointers in a game.
19-year-old LaMelo Ball is the youngest player in NBA history with 7 threes & the youngest Hornet with 20 PTS/10 AST.
24 PTS (game-high)
10 AST (game-high)
7 3PT (game-high)

He was so good, that Hornets announcer Eric Collins — who always goes wild on the call — came up with a new catchphrase for the Hornets rookie.
He’s living LaMelo Loco.

Man, that’s so good. And very well-deserved. LaMelo Ball is playing out of his mind right now.
Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come in Charlotte.
