The Pittsburgh Penguins (27-11-8) travel to meet the Boston Bruins (26-14-3) Tuesday at TD Garden. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Penguins vs. Bruins odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.
The Penguins return to action after a full week off due to the All-Star break. While the Pens have dropped four in a row, three of those games were lost in either overtime or a shootout, and each of the setbacks were by one goal.
The Bruins posted a 3-2 victory against the Seattle Kraken before the break, although Boston still has just two wins in the past five outings. Boston has won three of the past four games on home ice, however.

Penguins at Bruins odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Bruins 4, Penguins 2
The BRUINS (-140) are a strong play at home behind Swayman. TD Garden has been a house of horrors for the Penguins (+115) in recent seasons as Pittsburgh is just 2-15 in its past 17 trips to Beantown. The home team has cashed in 24 of the past 31 meetings, and until that starts to change, roll with the home side.
Against the spread
The BRUINS -1.5 (+175) are worth a roll of the dice, as they look to snap out of its funk and get back on track. The B’s limped to the finish line before the break with just six total goals in the past three games. But a visit from the Pens should be the elixir to cure their ills.
Over/Under
OVER 5.5 (-122) is the lean here, but play this lightly. Playing the Over is bucking the trends in this series, as the Under has hit in four of the past five in Boston, and seven of the previous eight meetings overall. However, with both teams rested after a week off, the offenses will be ahead of the defensemen/goaltenders.
