Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Philadelphia Flyers (19-17-6) travel to meet the Pittsburgh Penguins (27-13-2) Thursday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at PPG Paints Arena. Below, we analyze the Flyers-Penguins odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

The Flyers are in freefall, falling in four of the past five outings, including a 6-1 beatdown in Washington last time out on Tuesday. Perhaps a meeting with Pittsburgh will snap them out of it, as they have won three of the first five against their Keystone State rivals this season.

The Penguins streak in with three victories in a row, including a two-game sweep of the New Jersey Devils in Newark by an 11-6 count. The Penguins have scored four or more games in six straight outings, hitting the Over in each of their past five contests.

Flyers at Penguins: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:18 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Flyers +140 (bet $100 to win $140) | Penguins -165 (bet $165 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Flyers +1.5 (-165) | Penguins -1.5 (+140)
  • Over/Under: 6.5 (O: +100 | U: -120)

Flyers at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Carter Hart (8-11-5, 3.79 GAA, .872 SV%, 1 SO) vs. Tristan Jarry (17-8-2, 2.84 GAA, .907 SV%)

Hart hasn’t won in seven starts dating back to March 18, but he has been a little better after a few disastrous starts. He coughed up 15 goals on 71 shots in his final three starts in March, but he has allowed just 11 goals on 102 shots in his four outings in April. However, he has received just nine total goals of offensive support.

Jarry has picked up back-to-back victories against the Rangers and Devils on the road, and he has yielded just three goals or fewer in 11 of his past 12 appearances. However, he is just 2-3-0 with a 4.32 GAA and .864 SV% in five starts against the Flyers this season.

Flyers at Penguins: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 5, Flyers 3

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (-165) are on a roll with 20 victories across the past 28 games, and they’re 5-1 in the past six against teams with a losing overall record.

The Flyers (+140) are skidding hard, winning just once in the past five outings, and they’re also 1-4 in the past five on the road. They’re also a dismal 4-14 in the previous 18 as an underdog and just 3-10 in the past 13 against winning teams.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PENGUINS -1.5 (+140) are worth a play on the puck line, as they have won by two or more goals in each of the three games during their win streak.

Pittsburgh has also won 13 of its last 14 games by two or more goals, so if you’re backing Pittsburgh, you need to take them on the puck line, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 6.5 (+100) is worth playing lightly. The Over has cashed in five straight for Pittsburgh, as they have averaged 5.0 goals per game during the span. Conversely, Philadelphia has allowed 11 total goals in their past two losses.

Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (24-13-2) play the second end of a two-game set at the New York Rangers (18-15-5) Thursday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at Madison Square Garden. Below, we analyze the Penguins-Rangers odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

The Penguins were bounced 8-4 at MSG in the front end of the double-dip, and the Pittsburgh defense has been in shambles with 15 goals allowed across its past two outings. It’s not often a team scores 9 goals in two games and drops both of the outings.

The Rangers have won three of their past four outings while grabbing at least one point in each of the contests. The New York offense is averaging 4.5 goals per game across its past eight games while allowing 3.0 goals per outing.

Penguins at Rangers: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Penguins +110 (bet $100 to win $110) | Rangers -130 (bet $130 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Penguins +1.5 (-250) | Rangers -1.5 (+200)
  • Over/Under: 6 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Penguins at Rangers: Projected starting goalies

Tristan Jarry (15-8-2, 2.91 GAA, .906 SV%) vs. Igor Shesterkin (10-8-2, 2.36 GAA, .924 SV%)

Jarry came on in a relief appearance in Tuesday’s blowout, his first action in eight days due to an upper-body injury. As a starter, he is 3-0-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .926 SV% in three starts against the Rangers this season.

Shesterkin improved to 2-1-1 with a 2.72 GAA and .907 SV% in four appearances against the Penguins this season. He is 5-5-0 with a 2.44 GAA and .923 SV% in 11 home appearances, and he has lost just once in regulation in his past eight starts.

Penguins at Rangers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 4, Rangers 3

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (+110) were bounced badly in the front end of the two-game set, but they’ll get it done in the rematch. Pittsburgh is still 10-4 in its past 14 trips to MSG, and 5-2 in the season series.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Penguins +1.5 (-250) will cost you two and a half times your potential return, and that’s risky business any time, but especially on a team that was just dusted less than 48 hours ago by the very same opponent.

AVOID.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 6 (-110) was taken care of by the Rangers all on their own Tuesday, and you can expect another high-flying game, although fewer goals than the 12 we saw in the first meeting.

The Over is 19-5-5 in the past 29 meetings, and 6-2 in the past eight battles between these two at MSG.

Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (24-12-2) play the first half of a two-game set at the New York Rangers (17-15-5) Tuesday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at Madison Square Garden. Below, we analyze the Penguins-Rangers odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

The Penguins were on the short end of a 7-5 offensive showdown with the Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon. That two-goal loss in Beantown slapped the brakes on a five-game winning streak for the Pens.

The Rangers lost 3-2 in a shootout against the Buffalo Sabres, and they’re just 2-2-1 across the past five outings. New York likely isn’t keen on facing Pittsburgh again, as they have won just once in the first six meetings (1-3-2).

Penguins at Rangers: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:37 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Penguins +100 (bet $100 to win $100) | Rangers -115 (bet $115 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Penguins +1.5 (-275) | Rangers -1.5 (+220)
  • Over/Under: 6 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Penguins at Rangers: Projected starting goalies

Tristan Jarry (15-8-2, 2.79 GAA, .910 SV%) vs. Igor Shesterkin (9-8-2, 2.27 GAA, .925 SV%)

Jarry has been dealing with an upper-body injury, but he is reportedly fine. Of course he did anything he could to face the Rangers again, as he is 3-0-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .926 SV% in three starts against New York this season.

Shesterkin was in the crease for Saturday’s 3-2 shootout setback in Buffalo, but he gets the nod again. He hasn’t lost back-to-back starts since Feb. 24-28. While he is just 1-1-1 in three meetings with the Pens this season, he has a solid 2.30 GAA which is right in line with his overall numbers.

Penguins at Rangers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 3, Rangers 2

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (+100) are a solid play at even money behind Jarry, who hasn’t been tripped up against the Rangers (-115) so far this season in three previous meetings.

The Pens are 5-2 in their past seven as an underdog, and 7-2 in the previous nine against teams with a losing overall record.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Penguins +1.5 (-275) are a little on the expensive side if you’re looking for insurance. Just play the money line instead, as Pittsburgh isn’t worth risking nearly three times your potential return.

AVOID.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 6 (-105) is a great play, as Jarry and Shesterkin are each playing very good goal.

The Under is also 4-1 in Pittsburgh’s past five games on the road, while cashing in nine of their past 12 games overall.

While the Over is 4-0 in New York’s past four at MSG, the Under is 7-3 across their past 10 against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The New York Islanders (22-9-4) wrap up a two-game set against the Pittsburgh Penguins (22-11-2) on Monday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at PPG Paints Arena. Below, we analyze the Islanders-Penguins odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

Islanders at Penguins: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:20 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Islanders -105 (bet $105 to win $100) | Penguins -110 (bet $110 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Islanders +1.5 (-300) | Penguins -1.5 (+240)
  • Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

Islanders at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Semyon Varlamov (14-6-3, 2.19 GAA, .922 SV%, 3 SO) vs. Tristan Jarry (14-8-2, 2.83 GAA, .909 SV%)

Varlamov was thrust into action when Ilya Sorokin coughed up four goals on nine shots in the first 26:18 on Saturday. Varly allowed just one goal on 11 shots in the relief role, but the damage was already done. He enters 1-2-2 with a 3.00 GAA and .895 SV% in five starts and six appearances against the Pens this season.

Jarry has won back-to-back starts against the Sabres and Islanders, and he is victorious in six of his past eight starts while losing just once in regulation and once in overtime. He improved to 4-1-0 with a 2.57 GAA and .914 SV% in five starts against the Isles this season.

Islanders at Penguins: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 4, Islanders 2

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (-110) are favorites at home as they look to stay hot against the Islanders (-105). New York has been able to beat up on the rest of the league, but Pittsburgh has been its kryptonite.

While the Isles are still 5-2 in the past seven on the road, they lost the front end of the two-game set in Pittsburgh. They’re also just 2-6 in the past eight following a loss of three or more goals.

The Pens are playing their fourth game in six days, and they’re 6-1 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation. They’re also 5-1 in the past six meetings with the Isles and 35-16-2 in their past 53 at home against New York.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PENGUINS -1.5 (+240) are certainly worth a roll of the dice, as you can more than double up. The Pens struck for six goals in Saturday’s game, a 6-3 rout of the Isles. This beating might not be quite as severe for the Isles, but the Pens certainly have had their number.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 5.5 (-105) is worth a small-unit bet, but don’t get carried away. Sorokin was a sieve last time out against the Pens, but he will be carrying a clipboard and wearing a ball cap with Varlamov back in there. Look for a better showing from the Isles in this one, but the Over should still sneak across the finish line.

New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The New York Islanders (22-8-4) kick off a two-game set against the Pittsburgh Penguins (21-11-2) on Saturday with a 7 p.m.

Lines last updated at 7:50 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Islanders -110 (bet $110 to win $100) | Penguins -105 (bet $105 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Islanders -1.5 (+240) | Penguins +1.5 (-300)
  • Over/Under: 5.5 (O: +105 | U: -125)

Islanders at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Semyon Varlamov (14-6-3, 2.20 GAA, .923 SV%, 3 SO) vs. Tristan Jarry (13-8-2, 2.82 GAA, .909 SV%)

Varlamov turned aside 29 of the 32 shots he faced Thursday in Boston for a 4-3 win in overtime. That snapped a two-game mini-losing streak. Overall in March he has posted a solid 5-2-0 record, 2.28 GAA and .919 SV% in seven starts. He hasn’t had great success against the Pens this season, however, going 1-2-2 with a 3.12 GAA and .894 SV% in five starts.

Jarry registered a win against Buffalo on Wednesday, allowing just two goals on 28 shots to pick up his first win in three outings. He has gotten well against the lesser teams this month, but he has also fared well against the Isles, too. Jarry is 3-1-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .917 SV% in four starts against New York so far this season.

Islanders at Penguins: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 3, Islanders 1

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (-105) are short ‘dogs at home despite their dominance against the Islanders (-110) this season. That’s because New York comes in with five wins in the past six on the road. They’re playing in the fourth game in six days, and they’re a perfect 7-0 in the past seven in a 4-in-6 situation.

While that’s all well and good, the Isles are just 1-4 in the past five meetings, and they have won just 13 of their past 46 trips to the Steel City. Until the Isles start ticking off regular wins against the Pens, back the home side.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Penguins +1.5 (-300) will cost you three times your potential return if you’re looking for a little insurance. Don’t do it, just bet the money line instead. PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 5.5 (-125) is worth a look, as that has been the dominant trend for both sides lately. The Under is 7-1 in Pittsburgh’s past eight and 4-1-2 in the previous seven at home for the Pens. The Under is also 12-3-1 in the previous 16 as a road favorite for the Isles.

Sabres at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Dustin Tokarski (0-2-0, .886 SV%, 4.64 GAA) vs. Casey DeSmith (7-3-0, .919 SV%, 2.11 GAA)

Tokarski started Monday against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden and allowed 4 goals in a loss. For the 31-year-old, the game at MSG marked his first NHL start since December of 2015. Tokarski followed that effort up by allowing 5 goals in Wednesday’s loss to the Pens.

DeSmith has been tremendous in five starts since late-February. Over the five turns, the 29-year-old has registered a .956 SV%. The middle of those five efforts was a 24-save shutout at Buffalo March 13.

Sabres at Penguins: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Pittsburgh 3, Buffalo 1

Money line (ML)

Buffalo has been reeling. The Sabres are 0-13-2 over their last 15 games and over that stretch, Buffalo has been outshot by nearly 10 shots per game. Thursday’s game is the back half of two games in two days; the Penguins took Wednesday’s game 5-2 and outshot the Sabres 42-28.

The Sabres are banged up with C Jack Eichel (upper body) out since March 7 and their top two netminders — G Carter Hutton (undisclosed) and G Linus Ullmark (lower body) — also on the shelf.

The Pens are in the midst of playing more meaningful games because of their third-place standing in the East Division. Pittsburgh is the lean, but PASS on the straight-up play and leverage the lighter juice on the puck line.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Pittsburgh is a robust 13-3-1 at home. The second-to-last time the Pens played back-to-back days at home, the second game yielded a 5-1 win (March 7 vs. the Rangers).

BACK THE PENGUINS -1.5 (-125).

Over/Under (O/U)

Ride DeSmith against a banged-up Buffalo side, and the yield here is a DECENT VALUE ON THE UNDER 6 (-115).

Sabres at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Tokarski started Monday against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden and allowed 4 goals in a loss. For the 31-year-old, the game at MSG marked his first NHL start since December of 2015. Tokarski owns a .904 career SV% and a 2.88 career GAA across 27 starts and eight relief appearances.

Jarry is coming off back-to-back losses but is 3-1-1 with a .942 SV% over his last five starts. That stretch includes the 25-year-old netminder stopping 21 of 23 shots against these Sabres March 11.

Pittsburgh Penguins at New Jersey Devils odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Pittsburgh Penguins at New Jersey Devils NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (18-10-1) open up a two-game set on the road against the New Jersey Devils (9-13-4) Thursday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at Prudential Center. Below, we analyze the Penguins-Devils odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

Penguins at Devils: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:50 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Penguins -185 (bet $185 to win $100) | Devils +155 (bet $100 to win $155)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Penguins -1.5 (+150) | Devils +1.5 (-185)
  • Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Penguins at Devils: Projected starting goalies

Tristan Jarry (12-7-1, 2.89 GAA, .906 SV%) vs. Mackenzie Blackwood (6-8-1, 3.05 GAA, .903 SV%)

Jarry heads into this one on a four-game win streak, with a 2.00 GAA and .935 SV%, as he is finally starting to look like the All-Star he was in 2019. This will be his first start against New Jersey since allowing one goal on 37 shots in a win Nov. 22, 2019. It was his only appearance against the Devils last season.

Blackwood was much better last time out when allowing 2 goals on 35 shots in a win against the Buffalo Sabres to snap a six-game losing skid. Of course, it was against Buffalo, which is an absolute train wreck and in the midst of a 12-game losing streak and coaching regime change. Penguins at Devils: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 4, Devils 1

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (-185) kick off a three-game span against the Devils and will face them twice in New Jersey before a third game in four days back in the Steel City.

Jarry is rolling along and playing with a lot of confidence lately, while Blackwood has been an absolute sieve. Look for Pittsburgh to hammer New Jersey.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PENGUINS -1.5 (+150) are a solid play on the puck line, as Blackwood has been very giving.

The Pittsburgh offense has rolled up 26 goals across the past seven outings while yielding just 11 goals, and the Penguins have hit the puck line in each of their past five wins.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 5.5 (+100) is a good small-unit wager at even money, as Jarry has been keeping the opposition down. Blackwood’s been giving up plenty of goals lately, so that’s a bit of a concern, but the Under is 3-0 in the past three outings for both teams.

Until they start hitting the Over on a regular basis, keep leaning to the Under.

Boston Bruins at Pittsburgh Penguins odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Boston Bruins at Pittsburgh Penguins NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Boston Bruins (14-8-4) and Pittsburgh Penguins (18-9-1) will play the second half of a back-to-back on the Penguins’ home ice of PPG Paints Arena Tuesday. Puck drop will be at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bruins-Penguins odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

The Penguins, third, grew their lead over the Bruins, fourth, in the East Division with a 4-1 victory Monday. It was Pittsburgh’s sixth straight win since the start of March. Boston has lost five of seven games this month with each of the last two coming by multi-goal margins.

The Bruins won both halves of a two-game head-to-head set in Boston in late January; the first of those went to overtime.

Bruins at Penguins: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:45 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Bruins +100 (bet $100 to win $100) | Penguins -115 (bet $115 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Bruins +1.5 (-275) | Penguins -1.5 (+225)
  • Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Bruins at Penguins: Projected starting goalies

Daniel Vladar (0-0-0, .000 SV%, 0.00 GAA) vs. Casey DeSmith (6-2-0, .912 SV%, 2.23 GAA)

Vladar, a third-round pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, is set to make his first NHL start and just his second appearance after allowing 3 goals on 15 shots in one game last season. Jaroslav Halak started and took the loss Monday, and Tuukka Rask (back) remains sidelined by injury.

DeSmith has won two straight outings and three of his last four games, including a 24-save shutout victory over the Buffalo Sabres Saturday. He has stopped 75 of 78 shots in three games since Feb. 28, but his best performances this season have been on the road.

Bruins at Penguins: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 5, Bruins 3

Money line (ML)

The PENGUINS (-120) are a fine play coming off Monday’s 3-goal win.

Boston opened the scoring but Pittsburgh went up 2-1 by the end of the first period, added a power-play marker in the second frame and finished things off with a late empty-netter. Boston registered 59.55% of the 5-on-5 shot attempts Monday but scoring chances at full strength were split 50-50.

Most importantly, the Bruins will be turning to an inexperienced goaltender for their second road game in two days. Expect Penguins Cs Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to give him a rude welcome.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS on the puck line with only a slight lean to Penguins -1.5 (+225). It took special teams play and an ENG to secure the multi-goal win and puck line cover Monday.

DeSmith has been hot of late, but he was prone to some bad goals early in the season.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 5.5 (-120) is the top bet for this game.

Both teams have lengthy injury reports mainly consisting of defensemen. Add in tired legs, a growing sense of desperation for Boston and Vladar’s first NHL start, and it adds up to 6-plus goals fairly quickly.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Buffalo Sabres odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Pittsburgh Penguins at Buffalo Sabres NHL odds and lines, with hockey picks, tips and predictions.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (16-9-1) wrap up a two-game set on the road against the Buffalo Sabres (6-15-4) Saturday with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop at KeyBank Center. Below, we analyze the Penguins-Sabres odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.

Penguins at Sabres: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:35 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Penguins -250 (bet $250 to win $100) | Sabres +195 (bet $100 to win $195)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Penguins -1.5 (+115) | Sabres +1.5 (-140)
  • Over/Under: 6 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Penguins at Sabres: Projected starting goalies

Tristan Jarry (11-7-1, 3.00 GAA, .901 SV%) vs. Carter Hutton (1-7-1, 3.40 GAA, .883 SV%)

Jarry is in the midst of a three-game win streak, tying a season-best. He polished off the Sabres with 21 saves on 23 shots in a 5-2 win on Thursday. While Jarry has allowed three or fewer goals in each of the three victories, he has also been the beneficiary of plenty of offensive support with 13 total goals, or 4.33 goals per game.

Hutton has really struggled in net for the Sabres while Linus Ullmark is on the shelf. Sabres G Jonas Johansson coughed up four goals on 26 shots against Pittsburgh in the first meeting, so now it’s Hutton’s turn. Hutton has not won since Jan. 18, a span of seven straight appearances.

Penguins at Sabres: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Penguins 5, Sabres 2

Money line (ML)

The Penguins (-250) are likely to pick up the win against the skidding Sabres (+195), but risking more than two and a half times your potential return on a road team is not a good long-term betting strategy.

PASS, and look to the puck line instead.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PENGUINS -1.5 (+115) are a better play for the potential plus-return. They cashed in the front end of the back-to-back, though.

The Sabres have really struggled on offense with C Jack Eichel on the shelf due to injury. Pittsburgh has rattled off three straight puck-line covers, and they’ll do so again in this one, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 6 (-115) is the play here, as the Pens should pile up plenty of offense against Hutton. The worry with an Over play is the scuffling Sabres offense, which has posted just 14 total goals across the past eight outings.

But, if they can just get to at least two goals, which they have done in each of the past six, then the Over is a slam-dunk play.
