- Pitt was worked over 52-17 at Clemson last time out, splashing a little cold water on a modest two-game win streak. The Panthers have lost to the good teams, and taken care of the poor ones on their schedule. They averaged 44.0 points per game in two wins at Florida State and against Virginia Tech, covering the spread in both outings.
- The good news for Georgia Tech is it allowed just 23 points last week at NC State, their best defensive showing since a 16-13 win at Florida State in its season opener. The bad news is it lost by 10, failing to cover as a touchdown underdog.
- Pitt has been a little erratic on the line, going 3-6-1 ATS in 10 games to date. Total bettors have found the Panthers to be plenty consistent, hitting the Over in seven straight. The Panthers are averaging 28.5 PPG while allowing 25.0 PPG.

Pittsburgh (-250) has been good when playing the dregs of the ACC while being outclassed against the contenders. Still, the Panthers have been so erratic that risking two and a half times your potential return is just not a good decision. PASS.
Against the spread (ATS)
PITTSBURGH -6.5 (-120) will cost you a little extra juice on this side, but it’s a good play. Georgia Tech is just 4-10 ATS in its past 14 at home, including 3-8 ATS in its past 11 as a home dog.
The Yellow Jackets are also 0-6 ATS in their past six games following a cover. The road team has connected in five of the past seven in this series, too.
