Seahawks make Bryan Mone extension official, waive Pier-Olivier Lestage

The Seattle Seahawks have formally announced signing DT Bryan Mone to a contract extension and the waiver of G Pier-Olivier Lestage.

The Seattle Seahawks have now formally announced the team has signed defensive tackle Bryan Mone to a contract extension. The agreement to the terms of the two-year deal had first been reported earlier this week.

Seattle also made a roster move on Wednesday, waiving guard Pier-Olivier Lestage. Lestage had originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent last year and spent the season on the practice squad.

After the waiver of defensive end Alex Tchangam last week, the Seahawks now have two open roster spots on their 90-man squad.

Seahawks activate 2 more players from reserve/COVID-19 list

Now, running back Travis Homer and practice squad guard Pier-Olivier Lestage are also being activated.

The Seattle Seahawks have activated two more players from their reserve/COVID-19 list. Earlier this week, running back Alex Collins and wide receiver Tyler Lockett were both activated.

Now, running back Travis Homer and practice squad guard Pier-Olivier Lestage are also being activated.

Homer has not seen a whole lot of action on offense this season, but he has managed to make an impact on special teams. He scored a 73-yard touchdown on a fake punt against the 49ers, winning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in the process.

Lestage has not been active in a game yet this year.

Seven more players remain on Seattle’s COVID-19 list, including tight end Will Dissly, defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr., defensive tackle Bryan Mone, right cornerback D.J. Reed and offensive tackle Brandon Shell. Two more practice squad players are also still on the list: cornerback Mike Jackson and tight end Ryan Izzo.

D’Wayne Eskridge, Travis Homer placed on Seahawks PUP List

Ahead of the start of training camp, wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge and running back Travis Homer have been placed on the Seahawks PUP List.

The Seattle Seahawks have placed a couple of players on the team’s Physically Unable to Perform List ahead of the official start of training camp on Wednesday. Rookie wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge and running back Travis Homer will both start camp on the PUP List.

Eskridge, Seattle’s highest draft pick in April, had been limited throughout the offseason as he battled a toe issue. Homer had been sidelined with a calf injury.

In addition, the Seahawks also placed undrafted free agent guard Pier-Olivier Lestage on the Non-Football Injury List to start camp. Lestage had undergone surgery this spring to repair a sports hernia and is apparently still on the mend.

The first practice of 2021 training camp is set to kick off this afternoon.
