Justin, a kid with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, got to do more than meet Juan Soto ahead of the New York Yankees’ game on Friday. After signing a baseball, Soto took the youngster to the batting cage on the field to introduce him to other Yankees players.
The Athletic reporter Chris Kirschner posted a video to social media platform X of the pair walking hand-in-hand toward the batting warm-ups. Several of Soto’s teammates came up to introduce themselves and sign a baseball for Justin as well.
The Yankees social media team posted pictures of the interactions onto its Instagram story, too.

Soto had a good day, hitting a double and scoring two runs, but the Yankees were unable to get the win against the Toronto Blue Jays. On the year, Soto is up to 27 home runs, 77 RBI, and a league-high 90 walks to contribute to a slash line of .309/.436/.592. Based on Friday’s meeting with Justin, it seems like Soto is also a league-leader in kindly deeds for the community.
