Washington Football Team slight road underdog at Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17

The Washington Football Team is a small underdog in its Week 17 road game at the Philadelphia Eagles

The Washington Football Team (6-9) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (4-10-1) in Week 17’s Sunday Night Football game at 8:20 p.m. Here’s a look at the early Washington-Eagles betting odds and lines at BetMGM Sportsbook.

Washington missed a chance to clinch the NFC East by losing at home to the Carolina Panthers 20-13 in Week 16 as a 1-point underdog. However, it can still win the division with a win vs. the Eagles next Sunday. Against the Panthers, QB Dwayne Haskins (14-of-28, 154 passing yards, 0 TD, 2 INT) was benched in the fourth quarter for Taylor Heinicke (12-of-19, 137 passing yards, 1 TD, 0 INT). Haskins was stripped of the ball and threw 2 interceptions before halftime as Washington fell behind 20-3. It’s highly likely the 15th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft has taken his last snap with Washington. The team hopes starting QB Alex Smith will be able to play against the Eagles after missing the last two games with a strained calf.

The Eagles were eliminated from the playoff picture with a 37-17 loss at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. Philly, which was a 3-point favorite, led 14-3 after the opening quarter but trailed 20-17 at the half. The Eagles still had their chances down 30-17, but a turnover on downs and three consecutive turnovers in the fourth quarter ended their three-year run of postseason appearances, which included a Super Bowl title in 2017. QB Jalen Hurts, who made his third consecutive start, threw for 342 passing yards with a TD and 2 picks while rushing for a team-high 69 yards on 9 carries.

New Orleans Saints road favorites at Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14

The New Orleans Saints are the betting favorites in their Week 14 road game at the Philadelphia Eagles.

The New Orleans Saints (10-2) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (3-8-1) Sunday of Week 14 for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Here’s a look at the early Saints-Eagles betting odds and lines at BetMGM Sportsbook.

The Saints, who became the first team to clinch a playoff berth, ran their win streak to 9 with a 21-16 victory (as 2.5-point favorites) at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. QB Taysom Hill, making his third consecutive start in place of injured Drew Brees, completed 27 of 37 pass attempts for 232 yards and the first 2 touchdown passes of his career. He added 83 rushing yards on 14 carries, while RB Alvin Kamara rushed for a game-high 88 yards with a TD on 15 carries. Ahead 21-16 with 1:49 to go, the New Orleans defense came up big when Atlanta faced 2nd-and-2 at the Saints’ 13-yard line. It stopped the Falcons for no gain on second down, a 7-yard loss on third down and an incomplete pass into the end zone on fourth down. Earlier in the final quarter, the Saints defense did allow its first touchdown in 14 quarters.

The Eagles lost at the Green Bay Packers 30-16 Sunday as 8.5-point underdogs. Trailing 20-3 midway in the third quarter, the Eagles pulled QB Carson Wentz (6 of 15, 79 passing yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs) for rookie Jalen Hurts. On Philly’s second possession after the switch, the second-round pick out of Alabama steered a 73-yard, nine-play drive, capped by a 32-yard TD pass to WR Greg Ward on fourth-and-18 with 7:52 to go. When WR/PR Jalen Reagor returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown, the Eagles trailed 23-16 with 6:30 remaining. The two teams traded punts before Packers RB Aaron Jones put the game away with a 77-yard TD scamper at the 2:36 mark. Hurts, who threw an interception with 49 seconds left, finished 5 of 12 for 109 passing yards with 1 TD and 1 pick, while rushing for 29 yards on 5 carries. “Who starts at QB?” will likely be the big news in the City of Brotherly Love this week. Also, worth watching will be the injury status of CB Darius Slay, who exited with a knee injury in the second half.

Green Bay Packers big home favorites vs. Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13

The Green Bay Packers are the betting favorites in their Week 13 home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles (3-7-1) visit the Green Bay Packers (8-3) Sunday of Week 13 for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Here’s a look at the early Packers-Eagles betting odds and lines at BetMGM Sportsbook.

The Eagles lost their third game in a row, falling 23-17 at home to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12’s Monday Night Football game. The loss dropped the Eagles a half-game out of first place in the woeful NFC East, but they pulled off a backdoor cover in the final seconds as 6.5-point underdogs. TE Richard Rodgers’ 33-yard touchdown catch off a tipped ball in the end zone on QB Carson Wentz‘s desperation heave with 12 seconds left cut the Eagles’ deficit to 23-15. When RB Miles Sanders ran in the 2-point conversion, Philly bettors cashed and Seattle backers were bitten by the “Bad Beat” gods.

The Packers covered as 7.5-point favorites in defeating the visiting Chicago Bears 41-25 in the Week 12 Sunday Night Football matchup. QB Aaron Rodgers (211 passing yards) threw three of his four touchdowns on Green Bay’s first three possessions and LB Preston Smith returned a fumble recovery for a 14-yard score as the Packers jumped out to a 27-3 lead late in the second quarter. Green Bay holds a three-game lead over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North.
