Last round of your life – where would it be?

That was the question we posed to more than two dozen PGA Tour pros.

Some of the answers were surprising while others were predictable.

Augusta National, Pebble Beach, Cypress Point, Pine Valley and St. Andrews led the way with multiple responses. We liked some of the creativity such as Chris Baker saying not just Augusta but Sunday at Augusta and Rickie Fowler wanted Augusta running fast and firm and Adam Hadwin specifying he would like a sunny day at Pebble.

Or how about Bo Van Pelt squeezing two gems into his final round with the front nine at Pebble and back nine at Augusta? Well played, Bo, well played.

If it makes you feel any better, we discovered that Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk haven’t played Pine Valley yet either. There also were a bunch of sentimentalists among us who chose one more round at the course where they grew up because as Hank Lebioda put it of Tuscowilla, where he learned the game, “it’s a cow pasture but it’s my cow pasture.”

Check out the places the pros would play their last rounds if they could choose. Answers are listed in alphabetical order.

The biggest name in golf and one of the sport’s most iconic venues are partnering up.

Tuesday the Pebble Beach Company announced a partnership with 15-time major champion Tiger Woods and his TGR Design firm to redesign Pebble Beach’s Peter Hay par-3 golf course.

“Pebble Beach has always been a special place to me,” Woods said in a statement. “It’s an honor for TGR Design and me to partner with Pebble Beach Company to design a new short course at such an iconic location.”

Located just across from the first tee at Pebble Beach Golf Links and named after the former head professional at Pebble Beach, the Peter Hay Golf Course has been a mainstay on the property since it opened in 1957.

“Peter Hay’s founding vision for this course aligns perfectly with TGR Design’s ideals – introducing new players to the game, bringing families together, and providing a fun golf experience for players of all abilities,” added Woods.

Established in 2006, TGR Design has worked on courses across the world: Bluejack National (Montgomery, Texas), El Cardonal and the Oasis Short Course at Diamante (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico), Jack’s Bay (Rock Sound, Bahamas), Payne’s Valley (Ridgedale, Missouri), Trump World Golf Club in Dubai, Makaha North Course (Waianae, Hawaii) and the restoration at South Shore and Jackson Park Golf Course in Chicago.

The new short course at Pebble Beach is expected to open in the fall of 2020.

Hoping to watch golf on Thanksgiving? Don’t miss Fox film recounting Woodland’s U.S. Open win

If you’re hungry to watch golf on Thanksgiving, you can tune into “2019 U.S. Open: Woodland Peaks at Pebble Beach” from Fox Sport Films.

Already counting down the days to next year’s majors?

Yes, the Masters is 134 days away. But if you’re hungry to watch some golf on Thanksgiving, you can tune into “2019 U.S. Open: Woodland Peaks at Pebble Beach” from Fox Sport Films in association with the USGA. It premieres Thursday, Nov. 28, at 4 p.m. ET immediately following the Bears-Lions game on Fox.

Narrated by actor Andy Garcia, the film follows Woodland’s run to his first major championship with exclusive footage of Woodland, his wife Gabby and their children.

It’s been a monumental year for Gary and Gabby, who welcomed twin girls into the world this summer. And the year isn’t over yet for Woodland, who will make his Presidents Cup debut in a couple weeks in Melbourne. He was one of Tiger Woods’ captain’s picks after finishing fifth at the Zozo Championship in Japan.

The Woodland film also features interviews with Justin Rose, the 2013 U.S. Open champion who entered the final round just one shot off Woodland’s lead, along with interviews from Curtis Strange, Shane Bacon, Brad Faxon and John Feinstein.

After its Thanksgiving debut, the film will re-air on FS1 eight times throughout December.
