Former Tennessee tennis player Paul Annacone will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
He was announced as a 2024 inductee Wednesday.
Annacone played for the Vols from 1982-84. He was the first three-time All-America performer in Tennessee program history. Annacone was also a three-time All-SEC selection, winning multiple championships during his collegiate career.
He won an ITA Indoors singles championship, a SEC singles title and two SEC doubles championships.
In 1984, his final season with the Vols, Annacone compiled a 54-3 record in singles competition. His 54 victories rank third in a single season at Tennessee. He also has the highest single-season winning percentage.
Annacone had a 14-year professional career. He won three ATP tournament championships and 14 professional doubles titles.
Following his playing career, Annacone coached Pete Sampras, Tim Henman and Roger Federer.
He is an analyst for Tennis Channel and serves as a coach for Taylor Fritz.
