FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In a midweek Ligue 1 competition, Paris St. Germain (6 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws) visits FC Metz (0-3-3) Wednesday. The match will kick off at 3 p.m. ET and will be held at Stade Saint-Symphorien. Below, we preview the FC Metz vs. Paris St. Germain odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

This is quite literally the top against the bottom of the Ligue 1 table. The dominant attack from PSG has kept it undefeated and it has scored 18 goals against 6 allowed.

Led by F Lionel Messi, F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe, PSG has arguably the best attacking trio in the world. It will be tough for FC Metz, which has given up 13 goals through 6 games, to slow them down.

Metz’s best showing was a 2-2 draw with Clermont Foot. Following that match, Metz lost back-to-back matches against Troyes and Strasbourg while giving up 5 combined goals.

Prediction

PSG 4, FC Metz 0

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to PARIS ST. GERMAIN (-350).

The only thing keeping you away from this bet is the price; however, PSG is taking on the worst Ligue 1 side and is coming off a 2-1 win over Lyon which followed a dominant 4-0 defeat of Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 play.

FC Metz didn’t score in back-to-back matches and its struggles are obvious, one reason that a BET FOR ONE TEAM NOT TO SCORE (-116) is enticing.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 3.5 (+120) as FC Metz allowed three goals last time out and those goals were against an inferior Strasbourg attack, so when lining up Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar against a side that’s as fragile as Metz, goals are bound to be pouring in.

PSG scored 4 goals in three of its last five Ligue 1 games. As a plus-money bet, this is a home run pick.

Clermont Foot at PSG odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Clermont Foot at PSG odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In Saturday’s marquee Ligue 1 match, Clermont Foot (2 wins, 0 losses, 2 draws) takes on the top-ranked PSG (4-0-0). The match will be held at Parc des Princes and is set to kick off at 11 a.m. ET. Below, we preview the Clermont Foot vs. PSG odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

After bringing in world-class F Lionel Messi, Paris St. Germain has arguably the most talented roster in the world. F Neymar and F Kylian Mbappe make up possibly the best attacking trio in the world.

While the offense is dominant, PSG gave up multiple goals in two of its four matches and is taking on a solid Clermont Foot side that’s yet to lose. That may change Saturday.

Clermont Foot scored 2 or more goals in all four of its matches, so it has a solid, thriving attack as well which could easily make this a high-scoring affair.

Prediction

PSG 3, Clermont Foot 2

Money line (ML)

PASS on Paris Saint-Germain to win. The value here is just not worth it. You’d have to bet over three units just to return one. While PSG should be favored that heavily, the gamble is a poor one.

However, a great bet is BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-120). This is a better option as both teams have scored every time out.

Clermont F Mohamed Bayo has 3 goals on the season and should be able to break through a flawed PSG defense. We’ve mentioned the power PSG has offensively.

This bet is a great value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+112) as this game should have many goals scored. While Clermont has scored often, it has also allowed 5 goals through four games, giving up all 5 over the last two matches.

A top-five side in Ligue 1, Clermont may still struggle to slow down PSG. St. Germain scored 12 goals in four games and has put up 4 goals in a game twice.

This game has all the makings of a goal-heavy match.

Paris St. Germain at Brest odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s Paris St. Germain at Brest odds and lines, with Ligue 1 picks and predictions.

In the third weekend of Ligue 1 action, Paris St. Germain (2 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws) will take on Brest (0-0-2) Friday, with a 3 p.m. ET kickoff at Stade Francis-le Blé. Below, we preview the Paris St. Germain vs. Brest odds and lines, and make our best Ligue 1 bets, picks and predictions.

PSG is hot out the gate but third in the table by goal differential. So far this season, PSG has taken down Strasbourg and Troyes. However, they haven’t looked overly impressive in beating Strasbourg 4-2 and Troyes 2-1.

Neymar and Lionel Messi have both yet to play this season. Messi has begun training with the team and there’s hope he’ll make his debut soon but it won’t be against Brest.

Brest drew with both Lyon and Rennes. It finished 17th in the table last season while PSG finished second.

Prediction

Paris St. Germain 3, Brest 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to PARIS ST. GERMAIN (-370) as the better bet, but there’s one that should be taken over that as well since the price for this is extremely high.

Tipico is offering a prop for both teams to score at -140. Each team scored in all four games the two teams have played this season.

While PSG has an elite attack led by a few of the best players in the world, its defense has been far from as dominant, giving up 3 goals through the first two games.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the OVER 3.5 (+100) as there’s no other team in the world with the scoring capability of PSG.

While we don’t know yet if Neymar will make the trip, we do know F Kylian Mbappé has been playing and should suit up. He has 1 goal and 2 assists through two games.

PSG scored 86 goals and gave up 28 across 38 games last season. That’s an average of 3.0 total goals per game but look for it to top that figure Friday.
